Ok, im not sure if this is where i should post this, but oh well.  I just wonder if anyone else has thought about this...A certain percentage (I dont know what) of men shave as a method of grooming their manly areas.  I include myself in this percentage.  Now obviously I would never engage in the hobby if I cut myself shaving down there (has happened). What I wonder is if in the course of shaving I sustain any microscopic (or just too small to see) cuts of the skin. These unseen tiny cuts could then easily transmit disease.  Otherwise relatively (stress the word) safe activities would become russian roulette.  Sorry if this is completely stupid, I just wonder if anyone else has thought of this.

To prevent having a stubble, use deodorant (not aftershave) at your south region. The antiseptic tinkling also helps you know where you cut yourself however lightly and helps seal it quickly.

I've read this somewhere before and it has worked for me. Women shave too. It doesn't sting too bad at all.

because I cut myself shaving..It was a nasty little cut on the very middle of the lip..panties would rub it so I went pantyless for a week to let it heal..

Yes, anything like that would leave you open to any infection you come in contact with..not just from the hobby either..Sitting on a public toilet seat is a lot more dangerous.

If you shaved your shaft and there were any microscopic tears once a lady's mouth touched them saliva would burn and you would feel it.

Best bet is to shave a couple days before your date and you should be fine.

I wax now and try to have it done on a day when I am free..Sometimes I do get a little more pink than others and the skin is more sensitive to facial hair.

Speaking of being a waxed lady =) I am and would love it if gents would shave their faces before having me for desert!  Supple bare skin and the five o'clock shadow don't mix!

Ain't gonna happen!!! I've had a beard for over 35 years. I keep it neatly trimmed, clean, and conditioned. I also know how to be very gentle.

There are plenty purpose designed grooming tools designed. They are awesome, safe and eliminates accidents.

While, this may be problem in the west with SO and suspicion and such. Royalty and old rich people from the east have always shaved  and grooming is important and and taught to boys starting around 12 years of age.

Yep, some of you are surprised, don't believe it and sure enough, they are will be lots of stories of individual experience.

I was taught about grooming by grand father when I was 12.

I can't believe that nobody is asking what day Haley waxes so they could see her On her "free" day. Just jokeing, I know nothings free.

I think it's very sexy and have never had a problem with a gentlemans beard..Now a bald head is a plus..very very very sexy to me

I shave with a blade daily, but stop two days before an appointment.  Would it be safe to use an electric foil shaver for the last two days?
