A beautiful song with great lyrics.... for most of us from this generation

"... my head grew heavy and my sight grew dim,
I had to stop for the night. There she stood in the doorway. I  heard the mission bell. And I was thinking to myself this could be heaven or hell. Then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way....."

Yes, many ladies bring us to heaven (when we do our homework to check out their reviews) and few bring us to hell (when our little heads take over :-)

Any other great songs out there in the context of this industry?

so I'm pretty sure Fisher has it right -- pretty much any song will capture what someone is thinking about this activity and their experience with it.

But, ZZ Top, Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Doors and a few others all seem to have several songs that might apply. LaGrange, Honky Tonk Women, Whole Lot of Rosy, LA Woman and Elvis Costello (I don't want to go to) Chelsea seem to fit the bill. While I'm thinking a long these lines, CCR's Suzzy Q. I could probably add a few more K-Pop related ones that are newer and find a few older Blues and R&B songs that fit as well. I would think Ray Charles has several as well -- not sure it is his but certainly the song "Fever" could be put in this context. (The Motels did a great version of it too.)

"Man come on. I had a rough night I hate the fucking Eagles, man."

then I think this song is a top contender; by Brian Eno of all people back in his sowing wild oats days.

(Sorry I can't make a pun out of this one as the title already is a pun.)

Roxanne, The Police
House of the Rising Sun, The Animals
Call Me, Blondie
Maggie May, The Beatles
Mama, Genesis

Just met a girl named Dynamo Hum
And I don't know where she's comin' from
Walikin' down the street, sayin' look here, bum
I got a forty dollar bill that says you can't make me cum
Talkin 'bout the Dynamo, dynamo, 'bout the Dynamo Hum....

And then it really gets dirty after that

Loved playing Zappa while getting it on.

Yes! But it needs this part:

So I pulled on her hair
Got her legs up in the air
An' asked if she had any cooties in there

It sounds like you cited that from memory. Well done.👍
(it's 'Dinah Moe Hum')

Jaime Fox he’s an awesome musician as well as a phenomenal actor & entertainer.

Truck Stop Girl and Dixie Chicken

So, the music isn't really the "great" part of this song, but the lyrics are insanely poetic:

"Without words I use my tongue to tell the tale of us
Tracing your shadowscape
Kneeling before you my eyes feast upon your masculinity and
All its divinity and I praise you
Because all of that is for me"

Check it out.  If the style of music doesn't work for you, try to ignore it and listen to the words.  Yes, you can read the lyrics online but they are spoken by a lovely female voice, so I suggest listening instead of reading alone (maybe read and listen at the same time).  :)

this is my favorite . . . .

Here's the recording AND the printed lyrics.  Go ahead and sing along.

Personally, one of my favorites was an early 90s song by the Southern Rock band Jackyl called 'She Loves My Cock'. Saw them when I was on the road with Aerosmith in 1992. Some of the live version lyrics:

Around the world
Or around the block
Everywhere she goes
She. Loves. My. Cock!

She's tried a doctor, lawyer, even tried a jock
But. She. Loves. My. Cock!

Romantic, ain't it? Thought so.

syrupy, romantic songs like this anymore.   Lol

A friend of mine named Richard (but goes by Dick) pranked his girlfriend by having a t-shirt printed up for her that said, "I love Dick."  She actually wore it twice before she figured it out from the comments she was getting.

End of the Innocence
Lyrics by Don Henley

Remember when the days were long
And rolled beneath a deep blue sky
Didn't have a care in the world
With mommy and daddy standin' by
But "happily ever after" fails
And we've been poisoned by these fairy tales
The lawyers dwell on small details
Since daddy had to fly

But I know a place where we can go
That's still untouched by men
We'll sit and watch the clouds roll by
And the tall grass waves in the wind
You can lay your head back on the ground
And let your hair fall all around me
Offer up your best defense
But this is the end
This is the end of the innocence

O' beautiful, for spacious skies
But now those skies are threatening
They're beating plowshares into swords
For this tired old man that we elected king
Armchair warriors often fail
And we've been poisoned by these fairy tales
The lawyers clean up all details
Since daddy had to lie

But I know a place where we can go
And wash away this sin
We'll sit and watch the clouds roll by
And the tall grass waves in the wind
Just lay your head back on the ground
And let your hair spill all around me
Offer up your best defense
But this is the end
This is the end of the innocence

Who knows how long this will last
Now we've come so far, so fast
But, somewhere back there in the dust
That same small town in each of us
I need to remember this
So baby give me just one kiss
And let me take a long last look
Before we say goodbye

Just lay your head back on the ground
And let your hair fall all around me
Offer up your best defense
But this is the end
This is the end of the innocence

I love all music but depending on the mood its hard to beat Enigma, then also something like "Yess Boss by Hess is More then on the other end there's some crazy shit like "Phreaky MF" by Mike Dunn, Mr. 69 & "Eatin' Pussy & Kickin Ass" by Walker Wheeler. Btw, don't pass up Afroman.

Enigma was the go-to mood-setter. I have fond memories of watching two honies do wondrously debauched things to each other in a hotel room with Enigma enhancing the vibe.

I know I'm older than most on here.
For mood music, try Bobby Hackett and his cornet.  It is definitely music for lovers.

Another subtle song by Billy Squire.  Great list posted and Police was an awesome concert I saw way back when. Wish I saw Blondie as she was hot as hell.

Nancy Sinatra’s 1966 release “. These Boots Are Made For Walking” certainly qualifies for songs about Domination!

Dirty Diana by MJ??

Also, Eric Clapton’s Layla.  David Bowie’s Suffragette City.

Lastly, taking it back to Motown with Bernadette by the Four Tops.

Wham bam thank you ma’am.

Rest in peace Randy Meisner bassist, one of the founding members of the Eagles past away at the age of 77.

Loved several of Randy Meisners solo hits….I was a newcomer to a small Midwestern Town, very busy with A new Job…with hopes and aspirations of moving on to bigger and better opportunities.  I think about that small town everytime I hear
1.  Aching From Desire
2.  Deep Inside My Heart
3.  Come On Back To Me

And yes my tenure in that town spanned only 11 months.  I transitioned to My Dream Sales Job and settled in larger cities before ending up on the East Coast 3 decades ago.  I was very fortunate and now enjoying a comfortable retirement.  But Randy Meisner’s Music late 70s-Early 80s made my 1st relocation easier and brings back fond memories of that era!
