you sound very easy to verify, I wouldn't worry about it. You can always join date-check, provider411 or rs2000 for verification services.
I'm a newbie hoping to get my feet, ahem, wet soon.
The verification issue is confusing to me, and I know it varies per provider, it seems there are some common elements. Some of what I’m looking to do is out-of-state outcall. I have no provider ref's because I'm completely new.
The workplace issues are confusing to me.
I'm a public policy consultant/scholar/analyst/writer/advocate and created a non-profit corporation to work through. It's formally incorporated in my state, which is verifiable on-line with the state gov't records, and I'm listed as the organization's officer. We have a full-blown website, and I have a resume and all sorts of personal information on it. The website is registered to me personally as officer the organization. There is one other person who helps out—informally as a volunteer/intern, and 3 others who serve on the board.
The address of the non-profit—and phone #--are my home—as incorporated with state gov’t records and listed on the website.
I don't get a "paycheck." Depending on cash-flow, personal and the org., I give and take money. I'm essentially self-employed, but carry things out via a formally-incorporated non-profit in part for liability issues. There are some issues relating to lobbying that make incorporation this way beneficial, as well as needing to be incorporated as a non-profit for seeking grants from foundations and some other funding options.
On my resume I have real name, location, phone, etc. I have no problem sharing virtually any personal info EXCEPT for my credit card, broker, and bank account numbers.
Everything can be publicly verified. In the first 2 emails I’ve sent so far--initiated by myself, I’ve shared real name, address, location, phone, age, etc. and website address in order to demonstrate sincerity. Is that wise?
Does the above info generally suffice as meeting the verifiability standards?
Thanks.
To the newbie board you must go!
Some guys are going to say you're giving way too much info and the ladies and some fellas are going to say you're fine. I'm of the overload them with info camp and no, they don't get or need any of my personal financial info. But the rest of it they can have. Mainly because I don't care how much info is out there. I'm not in a public office and I'm single. I want to make the lady comfortable meeting me, they can have the name and number of my parents if they want.
I have no clue as to how "hobbying" and a non-profit go together. As long as you're not using "non-profit" money to hobby, I wouldn't think you would have any problems, but I'm not an expert.
Once you give a lady the info, it's out there. Some of them keep it in some form and some don't. If the ones that keep it get busted by LE, are you a big enough personailty for them to catch. That is what YOU have to be comfortable with.
I mention my non-profit because it's my workplace, though a form of self-employment. I read a lot of providers wanting to verify workplace info, presenting paycheck stub/something else etc., not willing to see the self-employed, and being more interested in getting workplace phone # etc. than home. I guess it's because they think it's not as easy to fake a workplace than it would be for individual info, LE issues.
I’d heard of the reference services, but wasn’t aware, from reading provider’s own info, how widely used they are.
Thanks everyone.
Welcome to TER! It depends on individual providers who they are comfortable visiting. There are various verifying web sites like myfastpass or date-check and so on. Maybe others here will provide more sites that may help you? Good luck!
I'll tell you, it makes me wonder how some guys ever get laid. Join Date Check or Prefered 411. This isn't rocket science. Hell, I've never had much trouble.

How much providers understand about self employed types. Some do and some don't Had the same issue when I first started. If the provider didn't understand, I moved on to the next one.
Like the old saying goes, there are way too many fish in the pond and you will catch some but won't catch them all!
to join one or all of the sites mentioned.
my personal favorite is RS2K, roomservice2000.com
this way you get to see any lady you really want to see.
on the other hand, you will make her feel comfortable seeing you also, which always works out better if lady is comfortable with you.
You really should check out newbie board they have lots of knowledge, that you need to know and its there to share with you.
A zillion guys have been ‘verified’ and ‘referenced’, yet one only rarely hears of a case where it’s been detrimental to any client.
Stick with well reviewed ladies with solid reputations and longevity in the business. Those well respected independents with good reliability and successful businesses didn’t get there by outing their clients or misusing information or letting your data fall in to the wrong hands.
In most cases the ladies want as much confidentiality as you do, so they’re happy to extend the same to you. The reputable ladies verify for you reasons of personal safety – that’s all there is to it. They make money by delivering a service to you, not by publishing your personal information in the local newspaper. The ladies I know well, tend to get rid of your information pretty quickly, once you become a regular. They really haven’t any use for it after some point.
Now, if you intend to go bottom-feeding on CL, that’s a different story altogether.
Just my 2 cents......
