For those who are thinking about an Escort Agency or are brought to one by an escort you are trying to see
I got caught up with an agency and they are all the same
Here’s how they scam .. ingenious
First you find out the escort you want to see has an agent/agencies and she can’t be seen until you pay a fee to the agency . Once paid they tell you there are additional fees for police, for insurance , a clearance fee and so on .They tell you
all fees will be refunded once you see the escort. The fees may not be all at once but as the scam goes on . Maybe after the first fee or so you have an appointment with the escort . But before then you have to pay the escort money for any number of things . You pay but she stands you up with some made up excuse. You soon find out after this happening a few times that the whole scam is that you will never see the escort while continuing to pay the agency fees . Since you’ll never see the escort you never get the refund if all this fees . By the time you figure it out it’s a scam you have paid several big bucks .
This is the way the agencies work .
So you know how ALL agencies work by having some never before reported (meaning this is the first post making the claim I've seen in over 10 years on the boards) experience. Thanks for the amusement.
I've never had it happen to me personally, and I probably would have stopped after the first payment. If it's a scam, it's not an agency but a bunch of crooks posing as one. I think you're more likely to be scammed by an entity posing as an independent. I've had success with most agencies, the disappointments being those that use misleading photos and descriptions.
Did you sent the deposit money? How much and to whom?

Thats absolutely not how agency’s work. That’s how a fake ass agency that a scamming provider worked when they took your money. That so called agency was just her scamming friends.

You think there was an actual provider involved in this mess at any point? No. No, I seriously doubt it. There’s no provider in sight here, just a scam.

Never pay up front to an unreviewed provider.

I have my own opinions about agencies, but you weren’t scammed by an agency. You were scammed by a scammer posing as an agency - it’s completely different.
Suitors should always do their due diligence before sending anyone money. Read the ad or website in full, Google the number, check if they maintain a social page like IG or X, and look at reviews - lol don’t always think with the little head
You got scammed and think you were dealing with an agency. You weren’t. What you did was give money to a scammer, not an agency. There never was a provider. It was probably a dude who posted fake pics he stole off the internet.

I've dealt with a few agencies over the years and NONE of them operated this way.

post on a TER discussion board and you have no reviews, yet you want us to believe this really happened to you? As Jensen said up top, nothing like this has ever been reported here before, and the fact that you have no link to the alleged offending agency's website militates towards this being a prank by a troll. If you cannot name the agency, the girl you wanted to see, or provide a link to either one, tell us why we should believe your allegations?
I fell for it once--total rookie move. But all the lesson cost me was $40.
I'm surprised any :agency" is still running this one, but I guess it still works.
The 80s? How did you even send a deposit? But $40 back then would be what? Maybe two or three hundred today which I think most guys would be screaming about if it happened now. Though suppose any sting from the burn would be long forgotten after 40+ years.

Based on an ad in LA Weekly or some similar paper, I drove to an address that was a storefront above a mini-mall. "Stan" or whatever the fuck his name was, had an actual picture book of girls you chose from. I gave him the deposit, chose a girl and went back to my fleabag motel room to wait. A couple of hours later, a woman who could have been the twin of The Mountain from GOT showed up at my door. On the edge of soiling my armor from fear, she looked at me, looked at a list in her hand and said "Cindy can't make it." Then she marched away.
Let's face it, I was just asking to end up robbed and beaten that night.
The risk some men take to get their rocks off. I have my stories too, but this tops them lol.

Isn't this a plot line from some 1970s or 1980s TV show? Was the agency Charlie's Angels? They were trying to catch a crook and you got caught up in their plan by mistake! Or maybe it was an episode of Mannix?
