TER General Board

Has anyone seen this yet.......

Wow...bad news for MC...first of all are they really making that kind of cash?

Secondly, for anyone who's ever used them, let's hope they did the right thing by protecting clients and providers identities.

Wow. They were a very popular and well regarded agency from what I heard.

is that those are not the only cities the woman traveled to. I know they have been coming to Cleveland for years.

Their bookings are numerous and nation wide, so let's hope the information doesn't get out.

I would be very very careful.  The fact that it has not been shut down may be sign of more troubles to come

I'm wondering, considering the federal agencies involved if it was more about the taxes and money laundering than it is about pussy.

It said in the article that they were being busted by a Crimes Against Children Task Force.  Could they have been involving underage girls?  This could be the reason why they were busted.

During a certain time of year?
Or is it no real pattern?

I've only followed this industry for a year, but I am curious what the veteran ladies & gents think.

It's not so much linked to who the president is. Usually it depends more on the local government's leanings, and it's perception of it's constituency's morality. If there are underage parties involved the investigation will be a high priority. I've heard of the statute "...transporting a woman across state lines for immoral purposes." If interstate trafficking, tax evasion or money laundering is involved the feds will be interested. That can be a bigger prize then the actual escort activity. The legal aficionados on the board could give you better details.

eventually gets caught. Low profile is the key in this business. It is the reason I stay away from large agencies and use smaller local ones

You spend hundreds of dollars per hour and they still call you a john. It also bothers me that a lady worth that kind of money gets the "prostitute" label. I guess I'm too sensitive.

Well, it is the media's version of the story so they Will use the most stereotypical and negative terms and of course twist words around, embellish the story, misquote people etc to get a story they think will capture attention.

One massage palour was busted a year ago and on the front of the newspaper it read "Teenage Hooker Ring"... Meanwhile, it was a massage parlour, with no under aged girls working there and charges were dropped some 2 months later. But oh how media likes to throw a swing on things.

Absolutely! Media sensationalizes stuff to capture attention. I admit that I also winced somewhat upon reading such characterization :(

Give half of your staff and be called "ex husband" :-))

On serious note, there are two opposing opinions.

Some say that once u pass certain financial point and see low volume indies u are no longer a john.

Other say that even a man who married golddigger is still a john.

What counts us your own self image and whether or not it affects your life!

See the related thread in the Legal Corner.  The consensus seems to be that MC's many clients (including me) have little to worry about.
