I'm a bit with the late David Bowie when he said the 80s was largely dead musically other than Joe Jackson -- but that's also a bit in retrospect as I certainly liked listening to many of the bands at the time.

I like a lot of different types, and while I've never heard it played (not surprising if you look at who I see) a band like Roxy Music would be prime in my opinion. Interestingly enough I introduced one of the girls I saw to the song Jenny by Walk the Moon and she loved it once she picked up on the lyrics.

I am a music lover! Music makes me happy. I love to sing. I listen to all types of music, as I was brought up in a house that was very influenced by all types. I do; however, LOVE 80's music, as I notice I don't stop smiling when it is on, and I like to smile! I also enjoy the Beatles, as it was my mother's ATF band, so heard it alot!!! There are so many other types that I enjoy, but these are the first to come to mind
What is your favorite type of music?
How does music play into your day? Does it affect your moods?
Do you like to have music playing when you see a lady, or no?
Share some music love with me peeps :)

I enjoy music but I'm not there for a concert & I don't like it too loud.  I AM hyper sensitive to sounds.  I don't want anything to distract me from the one I'm with.  Speakers, aimed toward the door, not the bed, can be very nice.

After an awkward appointment about a year ago, I have been bringing my own music mix to each session, along with a CD player if needed. Although I do like the Beatles and '80s pop music as much as the OP, for these mixes I go with trip hop, downbeat alternative, and a bit of blues and jazz.

...and although I prefer bands like Green Day and Garbage I enjoy whatever music a lady wants to play. I figure if she picks the music her mood and performance will be enhanced and that's a win all around :)

Dammit, Lopaw, why did you have to be a lesbian?  I'd totally bang you to Green Day and Garbage.

I remember one girl who had her own playlist and literally would dance on my dick.

I agree wholeheartedly about what you expressed. Music, songs, and images seem to connect to a deeper part of me than mere words. I enjoy a wide range of genres depending on my mood. Sometimes, it's soft jazz and sometimes it's hard rock.

I have a special selection of songs that I always turn on for the ladies .
I call them fuck tunes only because I like to fuck to those songs

are 20-30 years younger than me, there is a disconnect in music preference.  I almost always find the music being played by a provider I am seeing for the first time annoying.  In many cases, its something with a steady rock beat that they want to pump in time to during intercourse, which makes things mechanical and impersonal in my book.  I will usually ask her to turn it off as it is distracting.  Once I have become a regular and we have gone out a few times to dinner, they will learn my preferences, and most of the savvy ones will download some music that I enjoy to play as background for our session.  If its stuff I like, it adds to the romantic feel of the session.

Me too!

Too many examples to try to link. Here's one of my faves:

nose is clear up the OP's ass.  Wait, . . . . .maybe that's not so bad after all.

I grew up on 80's rock music and enjoy listening to it, but I prefer something soft like jazz when having sex.

Mood music. It can either put you in a good mood or a bad one.

clearly you're leaving out Trance music -- I wouldn't call that good or bad mood. More like Zen mood.

I'll vascillate between electronica, 80's, alternative, rock, jazz and standards at work - quiet makes me sleepy. Never gave a thought to it during a session, but something sexy would definitely do the trick....

The only thing I'm not into is rap. Never did it for me, for some reason. Maybe because it's not my experience, so I don't relate...

For 15 years now, there is a weekly dance night at a club in the Twin Cities called Transmission, and the DJ plays mostly '80s music. His theory is that '80s music is especially upbeat and good for dancing. I don't go often because it's usually on Wednesday nights, but that's actually perfect for Thanksgiving week.

country and western.

But seriously, I do enjoy a lot of different types, and what I choose depends all the mood and the gal, so it could be anything from classical to rock, or jazz to techno-pop.

And then there's the sound of bed springs bouncing, maybe that's the sweetest music of all

She is so sensual just like me 😜
She has the best stroking music

My musical tastes are as eclectic as the variety of ladies one can choose here on TER. In no particular order, classical, soft jazz, rock, oldies, latin, new age, classical guitar, acoustic guitar, lounge, chill, folk, world, standards, and on and on.

I also have my own session cds, if you will. Have you ever heard a song, and said, wow, I'd like to make love to that song? Those songs are my session cd mixes. Of course, some ladies insist on their own music. That's great too. Since I love music, I'm always open to new sounds. Many a session has added to my eclectic tastes in music.

Sometimes the music becomes the lasting memory. Once, as I was finally reaching a hard earned climax, the Crosby Stills Nash song, Long Time Gone came up on a particular music mix. The first line of the song goes, 'It's been a long time coming,'. My lady friend and I looked at each other, and started belly laughing for several minutes. Spending time with you ladies is way more than just sex. Thanks for the reminder!

I don't generally play 80's music during session, at least not the upbeat, dancing music. I may play some Police, Phil Collins, Sade, something smooth and sexy. I also LOVE Enigma to play as background music! Their music has a sensuality to it, a sexiness that goes well in most situations. Plus it works well for me to start off with a little strip tease that I sometimes do, if the guy is at all interested :)

I love Smooth Jazz whenever I am meeting a gentleman. Just puts me right in the mood. I also love Blues. The sound of it makes me just so excited and makes me feel all tingly inside before I meet that special someone for the day/night.

music muffles any sounds of pleasure; especially screams of joy, etc.
