I couldn't believe this story "Hunting for Bambi", 8Eyewitness news!  It's just the solution women need, more fantasy violence!?  Just like the GTAIII video game where you can have sex with a hooker then beat her up and take her money, now you you can hunt down defensless nude women and shoot them with a paintball gun!

These so called 'hunters' pay from $5Kto$10k to hunt their defensless prey, and the women are lured to participate by giving them a $2500 bonus if they're not hit, $1000 if they are! (and why can't these 'targets' shoot back??)

.. so what's next gamers, "Hunting for your Ex"??!

I should also add that aren't the women who participate in this "sport" just as much to blame for the continuing violence towards women as the men who do it?.. ("ow it hurts, but the moneys just too good" proclaims one 'target'!..)

.. can't we just stick to the video game bunnies??

about how vulgar, offensive and demeaning to women this so-called "sport" may be (I happen to think it is some of those things to some extent), but as long as the women willingly participate in the "sport" no one can with any force of logical authority condemn it as being such.

If this was the case, then most of hardcore and bizarre pornography would come into the same consideration (what radical femminists like Andrea Dworkin say about pornography by the way, is not pertinent to this discussion, sorry). By a not-too-unreasonable extension of that logic, many may argue that what people on TER or the Hobby indulge in is demeaning and vulgar as well.

What I often find hypocritical is when people blast men for being misogynist "pigs" but very seldom stop to think and ask why are so many women (in pornography, etcetera) willing participants to such acts of "degradation." Despite the favorite catch-phrase of this board, it's not always "about the money". If you ask many a pornstar or adult entertainer they will tell you that they actually "enjoy" what they do.

Well, really, feminism is all about choice. So many people forget that in their desire to give women "better" things. But it's not up to anyone else, it's up to each one of us as an individual.

I'm curious as to why "enjoy" is in quotes... which to me implies that you don't really believe those ladies who tell you they enjoy the biz. Why is that??? D'you think it's THAT hard to enjoy????

The game is for losers. 'nuff said.

The arguments in posts below are more interesting than the game.  People who think a guy will go from shooting paintballs at naked women in Vegas to hunting people in society are probably mistaken.  They will skip the naked women in Vegas part (it's too expensive).  I initially pondered the same question.  But this is a grown-up version of cowboys and indians, ninja turtles, power rangers, etc. for LOSERS.

Many parents don't let their kids play with any kind of gun. That's OK for their own children, just don't demand that others do the same.

The owners of "hunting for Bambi" are, in my opinion, more vulnerable to OSHA than anything else.  Clearly, without some additional personal protection, he/they are subject to either lawsuits or regulatory spanking mechanisms.  They'll get sued, hopefully professionally and personally, and it will be shutdown.

A better game for this community would be "Pride of Lions".  Simply try to have sex like lions in heat.  Lions generally have sex until exhaustion, then rest and repeat the process for up to 3 days.  Whoa!

And if I want to fly to Vegas tomorrow to run around nekkid and get shot at, who are YOU to tell me no?

but intentional clerical ambiguity: of the percentage of providers who claim that they "actually" enjoy their work there is a sub-percentage who are saying that for effect (a variety of effects, not just one).

Therefore to represent both the truthful and not-so-truthful camps all in one sentence I simply chose to put the word enjoy in quotations. But I completely understand why any provider (not just you) would automatically make that assumption about someone like me saying something like that!

I trust it is now also clear why the word -actually- in the first paragraph above was itself put inside quotations.

It seems to be getting press attention, it must be a slow newsday. Yhe segment they showed was only 10-15 seconds long and there was little condemnation (CNN is liberal remember).

For the record, I think it's stupid too, but so what. To each his own, no one is getting hurt (?) lol

I agree that's a sick thing to do. However, nearly as many women (41%) kill their husbands as men (59%) kill their wives.

More mothers are perpetrators (69.1%) than fathers (33.1%) in cases of child homicide.

There are also about 25,000 people in the USA who have changed their sex from male to female or vice versa... which I believe demonstrates there is not that much disparity between the genders.
