I am investing more in my clothing; however, I think it's really dumb to spend over $1k on a pair of shoes, a shit ton of dresses, underwear and bras, and lingerie, adding up to . I bought a really nice bag and clutch from Michael Kohrs... I've been looking at them for months... on sale. Total was like $450. I'm trying to figure out how to do the clothing in a way that I'm not spending more than it's worth. Some gals say they rotate between outfits. If someone tours a lot, I would assume that requires less clothing as they're not seeing the same guys every week.
I'm getting nicer hotel rooms, entertaining with finger foods and drinks, (I sneak non-alcoholic drinks for myself, lol, or pour a drop of vodka in my OJ haha.) I'm not going all out, but I really want my branding to change in the sense that I provide more than some trashy chatty-chitty-bang-bang, while encouraging longer appointments!

Some gals really do like the higher end shit and have NO problems spending tens of thousands on clothes (including undergarments).
I have never understood the shoe thing...but all women seem to love those things. Funny that at my recent session the gal had on 6" heels and simply can't wear them for more than a few minutes. But it still amazes me to see any gal wear those heels out...and actually succeed in walking without tipping over!

I get compliments on my shoes from gentlemen all the time. They definitely get noticed. Courtney, I look for a lot of name brand things on ebay, you can often find higher end clothing there. I also call around and find out when the store is having a sale . Also, many places, if you join their mailing list will give you a 20% off coupon on your birthday or some similar such thing. I'm trying to figure it out as I go along too. Good luck.

I second Overstock.com as a good starting point. Kohls and TJ Maxx are also good if you want to go into a store.
Also try ebay, many department, online and boutique stores also sell directly on ebay now. Just do a search using the brand name and item you are looking for.

Ultimately less expensive than buying clothes from the gap that you have to replace quickly anyway. But I don't think many guys will be out off that you don't have 2000 dollar shoes as long as you still look nice and fit in to the surroundings (I hope lol.) Lingerie and shoes are the two things I really try to splurge on though, guys really appreciate those things.
I believe you get what you pay for and quality brand names tends to be a good investment when it comes to clothing. So for your real life I'd say spurge and really feel good about what you wear.If a bag & clutch from Michael Kohrs puts a smile on your face then go for it.
But when it comes to what you might wear when greeting a client I think you can get away with less expensive outfits that do not need to last that long. I mean I really don't care and honestly probably can't tell if your sexy short dress with that barely contain your 36Cs is a $600 outfit from Saks or a $30.00 dress from Body Central. The important thing is you taking the time to sex yourself up for our little rendezvous. It's impressive that you prepare the room. A candle lit room with soft music and a sexy babe is my idea of fun. Throw in a glass of wine ....wow.

Victoria's Secret, I love their clothes and their value. And since they're only available online or in their catalogs, they're actually very unique. Their dresses are very cute and sexy and their sweaters can be provocative. They also do the $150 off $500 deal every other month so you can really stock up, and a good loyalty program with points.
There's also a great site out of China called sammydress.com, check it out, you've never seen more affordable stuff than this, and it's not disposable fashion. Some men stuff too.

I spend more money on those, and accessories. As for clothes, I can shop anywhere from H&M, zara, nordstrom and consignment stores. You just need know how to match your clothing. Check out belle and clive, the real real, gilt, beyond the rack just to name a few you can find designer stuff at reasonable prices
Your personal style is more important than the labels you wear. As someone mentioned stores like Nordics Rack, NM Last Call and SFO are excellent places to shop especially when they're on sale
+10000. I do not buy name brand, and never will. You are paying for the name, which I find is just "not me". You can find things that are just as nice, for a fraction of the cost...and use all that extra money one would have spent on designer clothing, shoes, & handbags to go towards something that will return the investment (college, kids college, MMA, CDs, etc). In one of my more recent classes where name brands were being discussed, it was mentioned that those who always sport name brands, do not have a sense of self, hence, they use the name brands to "create" themselves. I have always created my own style, and have never been one to follow the latest trends
To those who buy name brands, I have no problem with it, & am not being judgmental at all... I just personally have never had the inkling to put down $500 for one purse... I would constantly think of too many others things it could have been spent on, lol.
I too can be a little on the frugal/don't see the point in dropping $1k or more on a pair of shoes or the like. But still, I like designer things and have found some really great deals on consignment and on Ebay, like my Stella McCartney dress for only $300 (which, if it was worn, showed absolutely no signs of it) and a pair of Miu Miu pumps for only $175 (and those can run upwards of $700).
Also, Agent Provocateur will sometimes have online sales where you can get some things way below what they would normally cost.

Just blowing money is just dumb. There are lots of things you should be spending money on, like a rainy day fund & a retirement plan.
Shopping is not a contact sport!! I admit guilt my self, in the sporting goods store... but think of this as a challenge. It's ok to wear clothes more than once, so long as they are clean & fit well. I'd not mind if a lady wore the same outfit to see me, so long as there was week or more in between... So the challenge is to dress sexy, look good, spending as few $$ as possible but as many as necessary.

And spend the bucks on a spiffy (like that word) website. If you notice the gals with all the 10/10's have really spiffy websites.
Clothes...I'm (and most guys will concur) not there for a fucking (pun intended) fashion show.
So unless you're looking to add OTC and high end out and about time...why waste money on clothes that most don't give a shit about.
And you know YOU don't want to wear those 6" Loubies out...jeans and a tight t-shirt with sneakers works for most.
Invest in Google...that has a ROI worth discussing.
I will say, when I was into the thrift shops, I found some badass stuff with the tags still on... suits for work... I got so many compliments on them, and even slipped my way into an awesome job I shouldn't have gotten because of it. (The girl interviewing had an eye for clothing, haha.)

I'm in NYC - and people are very fashion-conscious here- so maybe my experience is a bit skewed. But I did my first appt's in black Target heels (they were cute) and one of my first clients - apparently a shoe snob - pointedly asked if they were Manolos. Knowing full well that they totally weren't.
When I first invested in a pair of really nice high heels, I actually got compliments on them - "GREAT shoes", they said. And not just one guy - a bunch. LOL. I've never once done a foot fetish session, BTW (my feet are size 10).
Guys might not *think* they notice fashion, but they do notice it subconsciously. Just like they say they don't care about manicures, pedicures, and hair...but as any escort will tell you, it's important for hands, feet, and hair to look PERFECT. I'm not just saying this because I LIKE such things to be done...I hate the time and expense! I'm a complete tomboy and all about the natural look, when I'm left to my own devices. But no doubt about it, guys are visual creatures...this stuff might not register, but they do SEE it. It contributes to the overall impression.
With that said, I'd never spend a ton of money on expensive sh**. Ebay is a great resource, as are thrift shops. A few basic, high-quality shoes, dresses, and purses are all you need...you'd be surprised how cheaply you can do that. Again...ebay, ebay, ebay. I'd never EVER spend more than $200 on a pair of shoes...I spent exactly that much on two pairs FOUR years ago when I first started, and they still look brand-new (retail value was 5x more). I take them to be repaired and refurbished when needed, etc., and store them very carefully. Same for handbags.
Lingerie is another thing I 'invest' in for this business...you can get La Perla and Agent Provocateur on ebay for a third of the price...less than you'd pay in-store at Victoria's secret.

I usually don't go under $200 for shoes, dresses, etc. I feel the fabric, tug on it to make sure it's quality, try it on, bend over, twist, etc. etc. If it looks hot, great, but if it doesn't feel hot to the touch, I'm not buying it. There's a sense of pride, and I feel if I charge a certain amount, I need to give a man that quality in presentation as well.
If I do a trip to NYC on my own, serving gents from NYC, then I feel those things may be appropriate.

Having seen some of the highest-rated NYC women in the business naked...you'd be really surprised...not all men want a woman to look like a barbie doll. If you look good and you're confident, chances are that guys are going to find you attractive as well

Along the lines of Herve Leger and Caroline Herrera...I never spent over $200 on any one thing, altho I did have to get some stuff tailored. I got some stuff that didn't fit - I reused the pics from the seller's listing and resold it.
Don't worry too much about going all out for NYC...or any other market...you'll just wind up wasting lots of $$.

Bra/ panty set , teddy 3 or 4 , Fredericks of Hollywood won't be to pricey either .
lubes , toys, videes , music candles , and a traveling bar set for guys you know .
Crossword puzzles , when guys daty I'm sure it gets boring after awhile while theyre on the 8th or 9th O.

Hard to get away from having a good wardrobe.
I arrived at my hostesses' room (a duo!) and they were running a little late. They just got back from shopping along the Fancy Expensive Street. They were still dressed in their civvies (jeans, sweater, blouse) and I couldn't tell you if they were Calvin Kleins or Super-Expensive Custom Jeans: the girls looked GREAT! (When I asked to see one of them again, I asked for her to wear her civvie jeans and pullover sweater!) ...
So I asked one if she got anything nice. Yeah, a $600 snake skin belt whereupon she did a face palm and added 'I can't believe I threw away $600 on a belt.'
All of my activities have been in the room (or brief lobby-talk on the way to the elevator) and never on an outside dinner or other date. I'm a guy who can't really tell the difference between a decent $100 dress or blouse from Target and the $1000 version from an upscale place. And I don't ask to see the labels.
(Years back, I think one of the big NYC fashion stores paid a huge fine for sewing haute couture labels in counterfeit clothing.)
I hope I can tell the difference between "nice" and "an unkempt mess of crap". I prefer "nice" but please don't go overboard on my account
I won't be doing this long enough to spend thousands on each piece of clothing. I like the idea of having a few items for those guys who will say something. I also think everyone seems to agree that shoes and lingerie are two things to spend your dollars on. (And accessories).
I also know wearing this stuff will be way too much for some guys. They just want the girl next door, everyday jeans and t-shirt look. I never obey on the t-shirt part hahaha

The only time I think you should spend high dollar on clothes for the hobby, are the clothes you will be seen in when you are out to dinner, or a play. I don't have any sort of foot fetish, but I do notice a nice pair of heels.
As far as your BCD attire, keep it lacy and simple. Matching bra and panties are always a plus.
Most important is stay light on the makeup, I never want to see layers a layers of crap on your face.
Confident, fresh, funny, and smell nice you will have me drooling even if you were wearing a pillow cover.

As a man it is always thrilling to see the special effort a lady will make when they see us, whether it be the outfit or the underwear, or both. However most of us would not be able to tell the difference between an average costing outfit or designer labels without being told.
If a lady is being brought out on a dinner date it is possible that a certain amount of showing off is involved, subconsciously or not the gentleman may want others to envy who he's with and that may include the expense taken by the lady in her outfit so in these cases the labels, whether outfit or shoes may be a factor.
For most occasions opening the door to see a lady attractively dressed is great, whether the outfit cost nothing or thousands will probably be irrelevant, it's how a lady carries herself that is the ultimate attraction.
I've always been intrigued, especially with touring ladies, with what must be their balance sheets, the cost of travel, accommodation, living expenses while touring and of course now you mention it the cost of clothes and shoes, all balanced against what they earn, where they draw the line with a profit margin and what they feel they could earn elsewhere or even doing a different job.
From my own experience, and my own preference, what will remain longer in a man's memory will be the character of the lady he meets, how we both connect and how well we get on during our meeting. That's what will encourage me to see that lady again more than any expensive clothing she's wearing.
While style is important it is the style of how you carry yourself and how you wear what you wear that will matter a whole lot more than the price tags of anything involved
