What you see depends on how you're viewing the message.  If you look at the message in line in a thread, he's right--blank lines to separate paragraphs don't appear with a single Return, as they used to with Classic. BUT if you select the post and look at the selected post AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE rather than the post in line in the thread, the blank line shows up.

I just noticed that unless you triple space your paragraph breaks, when you look at your post, the breaks don't appear.

 
Maybe TER wants to consolidate the posts to save room, but IMHO, it's not worth it.  A harmonious appearance of the post really helps to enjoy and understand the content.

Double space only  yields a single space, and to get a double space, I need to do a triple.

Isn't that how TER always was in the old version? Isn't that how all computer word processors work? Not sure what you are trying to say here. Or are you seeing something different in your posts than I see?

it's as if I only hit it once.
This is a line typed after hitting enter once.

This is a line after hitting enter twice, there should be a space between this line and the line above, but I bet there isn't

 
This line will have a space between it and the line above because I hit enter 3 times.

 
Or perhaps the problem is my shitty Asus laptop, but I don't recall this happening till today.
 

By the way, the problem does not appear as I write this.  It only appears after I go back and read my posts after hitting the post button..

When you triple space I see two spaces.  

No wonder I'm confused at what you are saying. I wish I could do a screen shot and post it, but your posts look perfectly normal to me.  

Geeen border envelope tried to explain it that the way you view it makes a difference, but I still see no difference, no matter how I view it.

Could it be a browser issue, or computer issue? I'm on a phone and it all looks normal.

It definitely did not do that on the iPhone which is kind of weird, but I see the space issue on the iPad. At least now I know you're not crazy. 🙂

NoGreenborderedenvelope was correct when he said it only does it when you view the thread in line. On the OP,  the correct spaces are there, and if you click on a reply and look at the post, the correct spaces are there.

When this new TER was released there was no paragraph breaks, but they seem to work normally now when you press enter.  

DT just did this test, but I'll repeat it from my device.

 
Hmmm. Seems you are incorrect fishbro. Maybe it was a temporary glitch.
