Looking forward to it myself!
OK all you wise and learned TER posters...
I think I've pretty much resolved that the Japanese nuru gel made from nori seaweed is pretty much impossible to get stateside (so tempted to cross-post on the DC board). If I'm wrong, somebody please tell me fast and point me in the right direction!!
I've never experienced it, but I've seen a couple of the helpful "nuru massage public service educational videos" and I'm completely intrigued with the concept of the nuru massage.
So here's the thing. If you can't get hold of the real deal nuru gel or powder stateside, then what is the slipperiest stuff out there that is also very easy on the taste buds? It's a fair question, I think.
BTW, there's an enormous secret prize for the best answer!!
well i don't give a nuru massage, but i do use a nuru type oil for the massages i give. I use a mixture of astroglide lubricant and baby-oil.
the reason i mix the two is because it allows for me to have a slippery oil without the lubricant drying up and becoming sticky.
you should try it out
love, Taylor
and btw what's my super secret prize?
Oh, Taylor! So close!!
But,you wouldn't want anything with baby oil in or on your beautiful lips and tongue, right? I mean, that just can't taste very good I wouldn't think. Otherwise, sounds like kind of a groovy recipe if there's no mouth involved.
The pics on your site are awesome, but what is it with you girls and Michael Bublé? Seriously!
We'll just have to wait and see if you won the mysterious prize...
Thanks so much!

well i also use a mixture of unscented astroglide lubricant and a lubricant called millennium i.d., it keeps it fun and slippery without ending up all sticky.
Oh, and thanks for the compliment on my site and pics, i designed it all by myself. And i just think Michael Buble is so HOT, and i love that song
love, Taylor
...I gotta check it out...
Almond oil based. Who Knew? Thanks!
This lubricant is easy to find, easy to wash off and fun to play with ![]()

I've enjoyed this slippery stuff with a few ladies, but in small localized amounts. I wonder how well it does in a more voluminous scenario? Not absolutely awash, mind you, but liberally applied. No objectionable taste? Thanks!
it is nice to be close to the shower - or you may get stuck to the lady ![]()
Not the worth fate i think
Lina
Or I may spike the Silk with Superglue!
Nope ... not the worst fate at all.![]()
I was kinda thinking girl answers when I proposed the promotional enormous secret prize. I guess if a guy comes up with the best answer, I'm gonna have to go back and rethink the whole prize deal...

Looking forward to it myself! ![]()
I guess I should have Googled one more time before posting, but I searched for this very recently with no success. Plus, it's been a fun thread. Someone must have wised up to the the market demand. If this really is what it says it is, I think I'm gonna be very happy!
Many thanks!
You see, I'm not TOTALLY self serving! ![]()
MP67,
I hate to harsh your glow, but I gotta rescind the atta-boy; I'm afraid it was presented a bit too hastily. The site you sent me to appears to have lots and lots of "instructional aids" but no nuru products that I can find. You're still the man, of course, but seemingly now ineligible for the enormous mysterious nuru finders prize. Sorry dude.
I sent them an email inquiring about nuru products, and should they come back with something fruitful, we may be able to reinstate your award.
And I don't want anything you have to give.
Unless you're going to pay for an hour of fun time for me and a fav since I just turned you on to 'the man'! ![]()
...but you do make a good case for an alternative prize scenario!
There is a provider who has advertised Nuru massage as an option there in the past couple of weeks.
I bet she knows the score!
Yes, this is the lady that one_last_ride was talking about. She actually calls it nuru. I'm gonna track down this lead!
I believe Lorsha (lorshafantasy) over on the Las Vegas board may know where you can order the Nuru gel. She replied to a poster inquiring about Nuru massage in Las Vegas about a month ago and indicated that she had placed an ordered for some from Japan.

Not sure if any of this is reality-based, but it looks pretty legit to me. I found a B2B trade site that apparently does a lot of far east - US business trade support. The site is at www.tradekey.com. On there I found a supplier in Thailand who is selling Nuru gel concentrate (not sure how far the concentrate goes) in 3 liter bottles for $120 plus $70 shipping to the US. I had to register with the tradekey site to get the product details, but it describes the product exactly as it is described elsewhere on the Internet, a super-slippery, taste-free, body massage lubricant made exclusively from deep seaweed, presumably the nori seaweed. The seller appears to be affiliated with the Colonzegroup in Bankok, who also run a popular soapy/nuru parlor there.
I also found a hit on ebay, of all places. Both of these findings are fairly new; they just weren't out there on the Internet a few months ago. The tradekey site nuru advert went up late April 2010. The product shown on the ebay link is exactly as pictured on the tradekey site for Colonzegroup in Bankok and the the price is actually a bit better, yet still fairly expensive. This ebay listing has ended, but also identifies the seller's location as Bankok, Thailand.
Maybe better than nearly nuru?
Not sure what details are viewable without the tradekey site registration, but here's the URL to the Bankok, Thailand supplier page for the nuru concentrate I found.
I said that the ebay price was a little cheaper, which it is, but I didn't notice that ebay quantity is only one third (1 liter) of the quantity offered on the tradekey site (3 liters). So the ebay price is actually substantially higher per unit of measure, not that it matters all that much since the ebay listing has ended. Just in the interest of accuracy and full disclosure...
When I was scuba diving regularly we used to make nuru to help slide into our wet wetsuits. In the early morning a cold wet suit is the last thing you want to pull onto your body, so we'd heat up some seawater and drop some kelp in. Three to five minutes later et voila, instant steaming hot nuru. We'd pour that through our suits for slipperiness and pre-heating, and our bodies would just slide in like, well, you know what. Good for the attitude, great for the skin. It is indeed odorless and colorless and probably the slipperiest thing I've ever felt. I could easily see using it for massage etc.
For the price some of these comments have listed, $40/liter, I should go into business.
