I'm taking my provider-girlfriend to Mastro's for the most expensive steak they have.  Then to a couples massage, then back to her place or mine for 24 hours of debauchery.  Life will be good again.

I don't know about all of it, but I FINALLY had a great meal out last nice, it was hardly the most expensive place in town but two of us managed to run up  a three hundred and something dollar tab at a Cajun restaurant WITHOUT wine, which I know most people who know me will find hard to believe. Please notice I did NOT say "without alcohol" as there was plenty of that involved, it's just that I was with a 23 year old Korean Girl (non hooker, non K-girl) who just got back to the states and who I am sure would not have shared my taste in wine, but even at barely a hundred pounds she went shrimp for shrimp, oyster for oyster, and crawfish for crawfish with me. She did not however go "tequila for tequila" with me, that would have been a bridge too far. lol

 
It was great to be in a relatively busy restaurant, everybody seemed to be having a great time, there was even a party of at least a dozen people out enjoying themselves. I don't know about the rest of the country, but it looks like Texas is open for business again.

 
Oh yes, dessert was great too, but I figured that part kind of went without saying.

you're a protester or looter.  Tonight is the fifth in a row with a curfew.  All retail stores that had been open are closing by 4:00p.  Some restaurants are still offering food delivery if they can find drivers who are willing to risk death so that we get restaurant food. Surrounding counties (Orange and Riverside) only had curfews on Monday night. There were no arrests for curfew violation, so they cancelled them for last night yesterday afternoon. LA had over 100 arrests for curfew violation.  

 
One cool story that was on the local news is that there was a mother that got called by Police that they were holding her son for curfew violation and they wanted her to come and get him.  She refused, saying he needed to learn a lesson.  She told the officer to at least give him a ticket with a fine, take him to the police station, put him in a holding cell and THEN she would come and get him.  The officer was kind of pissed, but his sergeant told him to do it.  LOL

Being an involuntary participant in the Rodney King festivities back in '92 was one of the reasons I finally escaped from SoCal and moved to AZ.

Having an uncle, aunt and two cousins that we visited and who lived not too far from Watts in 1965, I figured two close calls was enough "fun."

I wonder how many folks will be using similar calculus in deciding when to GTFO?

I pray for peace.  I also plan to resume my extra-curricular activities, if you catch my drift.  (already started a couple weeks ago)  Looking for more encounters in the upcoming weeks.  Hope same for you.

I do understand businesses making their employees wear masks to reassure their customers they care, but if someone demands I wear a mask before entering their place of business I simply take my business somewhere else.  

 
That said it was GREAT having a LONG LONG dinner date at a restaurant in Dallas last night. The food was great, the company was great (23 year old Korean Non Hooker) and the service was great, Laissez les bons temps rouler,
