Some women are affected by the women you have seen in the past and reviews that you have written. This goes beyond the safety issues. For e.g. I might be a safe person to be around, but if I like certain activities (based on my review history) then a certain type of provider who is not confident that I might give her a good review, might not want to see me. I have experienced this first hand with a DC based provider.

That being said, most of the time references are centered around safety and hygiene issues. I have asked providers in the past as to what do they ask about hobbyists when they contact another providers for references, and vast majority told me that they only care about safety and hygiene.

Yes, if you are into shit we are not especially things we might find a bit much, some of us will not see you. I look at a guy's reviews to see what he is into, and if I see hardcore pounding, PSE type activities, bbfs, or stripper slide, I will not bother meeting with him, because he will likely find me a bit too vanilla for his tastes, regardless of what he says about it not being an issue. If you're not crossing any lines, you should not be so worried about what your refs are saying about you.

Each of us will have specific things we want to know from a reference, and those things are kept between us. If a girl tells me "Ron is a nice guy, but can't wash his ass" I am not going to tell him what she said, but I also won't see him. My main concerns are size, age, and weight as each of those things has presented me with issues in the past in one way or another, but there are times I will just look at a guy's reviews if I want any more intimate details. Many women are not comfortable discussing what happens with their clients, so if I can't get the info I need from them, I either find it somewhere else, or just pass on the appt.

Perhaps because I'm into a large variety of activities myself, I am not too affected by the details.  I am interested in knowing that you are safe, sane and respectful of limits.  I might look at other reviews you have written to get an idea of some things you like or dislike to make our meeting a bit more meaningful, but unless there is a major problem or warning from a reference, I just want to make sure you are safe.

The only thing you should worry about is the yay or nay response for an appointment request that comes from the provider you wish to see. This code should never be broken. Of course, it does happen and drama can ensue in certain situations. Its better to let it be.

I know you mean no harm or intrusiveness here, but that type of thing should really be left to us. I really don't want all potential clients knowing all of my screening protocols or all the questions I ask other ladies, lest some dirtbag finds a way to circumnavigate that.

I have had a few guys ask me directly what their references have said about them, which I think is pretty inappropriate. I told them that I wasn't comfortable sharing that information with them, but I am willing to see them because of what the information I got from their references, so that should say something.

In your case...some GFE providers may refuse you because they might feel like they won't be able to meet your specific needs. Others won't refuse you because they figure that, if you read their site and took the trouble to contact them, you must know what they're all about. It honestly is something you'll have to figure out on a case by case basis.

We as Providers have to causious with new clients because we dont know who you are.
I dont mind when a New clients asks me Questions because he/she doesnt know untill they ask. But asking and answering question's over the phone and email is rather risky, so it has to be done with some consideration.
Every client is different and so is Every Provider. Myself, alot of my clients go see other providers for services that I dont offer and that doesnt bother me one bit. Mainly because my client know what I Do and Dont offer and I feel as thogh they are showing me some Respect by not repeatly asking for more for what I dont offer, and I am Greatful for that Respect.

Thank you all for your responses.  From the few responses so far, a couple of things come to mind.

1)  It was not my intention to be privy to exact conversations between providers... that was not the jest of my question.  I was more concerned that when I explore a bit... if that will have an adverse affect on my  future abilities to connect with a more "mainstream" lady.  (no I would never be disrespectful or unsafe!!)

2)  Then, in turn, it makes me concerned that when I write a review of a lady that it might be read by other providers as expectations of future encounters (definitely not the case) and give ladies concern as to what my expectations are prior to actually meeting and/or talking with me.

3)  We can all play safe, be respectful, and explore.  There are situations where variety can be fun, but I surely don't want my "explorations" to be detrimental to future fun!

What I ask and why is none of anyone's business but mine. I need to ask a couple more questions because if I don;t and I book and he has something or does something that is not right for me, he will suffer. I only ask certain questions so I can let a guy go elsewhere and not waste his or my time.

If you have two sides then you might want to keep the references separate...fetish to fetish and sensual to sensual. Because if I got a reference from you to contact a lady that does fetish work, I might think that's what you want from me and simply decline the appointment right there.

But then I like to occasionally explore the darkside with my clients to keep things fresh.
I don't need much from a reference, but to know a client is safe.

I see a lot of providers that only accept references from providers that are in their network of friends.  I guess in that case, they probably don't say much because they already know each other.

And apparently Preferred 411 is hit or miss.  Some providers don't even accept their listings.

The point is that some of these Providers have somehow got it into their head that if you see a Provider who will take a GS, anal, facial and swallow it then you are just too nasty for them and they will not take your appointment no matter how many references you have.  When I want to piss on a woman I want a woman who enjoys it completely.

Thus, the need for two sets of references.  The vanilla reference list and the nasty reference list.  This practice has not failed me yet.  Oh, you want employment verification shit no problem.  You want my boss's # (the guy has 9 kids - I think he probably does more hobbying than me just to get out of the damn house).  Or do you want the HR employment verification # (Fortune 500 company - they will verify my employment in under 30 seconds flat).  So I am good either way we go.

Honestly, I don't care to discuss the details of my verification process. If you're a good client, you get a good reference. If you were questionable or just downright someone I didn't like, I'll tell them that as well. I'm not going to assume that just because you wrote a reference for someone who offers fetish that you even did such an appointment, unless she's a pro-Domme and not an escort.
