Provider gifts

Hello all. I am seeing one of my new favorite providers tomorrow and want to get a gift for her. What do men usually get you or what do you generally enjoy receiving as gifts? And guys, what have you given as gifts in the past?
Just curious.
Thanks!

you could give her a spa or any type of gift certificate you know she would be happy to use. Usually men will pick the wrong color, size, style etc... sorry to be so honest (even if he is your SO for years he still picks it out all wrong). So unless you ask her what she wants your best bet is to go for a sure thing such as a gift certificate somewhere you know she will enjoy. That way you can spend within your budget and she can get something she likes/enjoys. Or just buy her a winter coat lol! Sorry, that one will stay in my brain.

Yep. I once gave an old GF a $2500 Baume and Mercier watch. She never cracked a smile and returned it to get other stuff.

We, uh... didn’t last much longer. :)

you're just nosy lol!!! Knowing how much he's willing to spend or what she likes would be helpful but if he says he saw her twice you'll say buy her a box a chocolate and flowers and he still won't have a clue what to do. I'm kidding it's all in good humour here.

Make sure you buy her shoes  at least 3 sizes too small if she wears a 8 or larger.
If you are not sure what size she wears buy her size 5.
She will love you for the thought and she can return them tomorrow when she buys shoes again.
If she's Asian don't buy her shoes.

Because Asians are "sometimes" more defensive about feet size than other ladies especially if she is a five.
A comment worse than "You are smart for a girl" , "Your feet are big for a Asian".

just another dumb post by someone who thinks he knows how "asians" think. He couldn't be more wrong if he tried.

Good thing I was out drinking/fucking or I would have pulled the post as "too stupid to be allowed". lol

It was a joke with truth, warning guys not to buy ladies shoes unless she requests with instructions on the proper size.
Just because Gambler has Asian heritage doesn't mean he knows how Asian women, generally speaking, feel about big feet.Don't listen to him Cleo, he's wrong.
If we were speaking of barefoot Colombians perhaps he would know.
On the other foot, how would he hear them speaking of  their shoe size , when he's always talking?
Asian women are my favorite. Most of  my civilian  GFs have neen Asians  .I have bought the wrong shoe size, too large many times.
One of the many reasons I am still a Desperate Groom.

Now your point about insulting an asian woman by overestimating her shoe size is more on target, It applies much more to old School Chinese women than to women of other asian nationalities, especially younger ones, and trust me I have bought more than my share of Chanels and Jimmy Choo's for the many asian GF's I have had over the years. None of them raised a word of protest at the prospect of new shoes.

Come to think of it, don't all women love shoes? lol

"You stated "if she's asian, don't buy her shoes" which is patently false"

Don't read too much into the depths, when you are drunk trying to get up .The whole post must be read to catch satire at the end.
The defining theme of my post.A vast majority of women do not wish their feet to be larger, thought of as larger, or mistaken as larger, than they already are.
My OP point was a joke being addressed to guys who would buy the wrong size. The Asian reference was the punchline.
If you  have had many Asian GFs I am sure you were there when a Big foot sighting was on the news, and she giggles, "Who cares, just another blonde"
Put your flip flops on and have another drink.

I assure you, you have no future as a comedic writer.

and with only a couple of exceptions, my asian GF's have been size zero dress size and size 5 in shoes, none of them were too insecure as to their shoe size.

I did have one Chinese GF who did wear a size 8 in shoes, she grew up in the country and was actually proud of what a hard worker she was.

One other thing to keep in mind, if you need an entire post to explain a joke, trust me, it wasn't very funny in the first place.

I never mentioned insecure. That was conjured from your own mind. If you choose to believe that most Asian ladies aren't proud and desire  their smaller feet, so be it. You have spoken. I can't say the same as you on GFs size, since I have had more than a handful of Asian GFs who were larger than  size zero or size 5 shoe. I am usually  attracted to the taller Asian ladies. I've never had a Asian GF who was insecure in the least. Quite the opposite in my experiences.
Insecure women do absolutely nothing for me.
As far as explaining it looks like you are the only one that warranted a explanation.
Perhaps a nerve was struck and your sensitivity failed to see my attempt at humor.I was certainly not making fun of Asian women.Just because you didn't laugh doesn't mean no one else did.
To be balanced and prove I'm not picking on anyone ,my next two jabs at ad lib cheap jokes, will be about European and Canadian men.
I can only hope you don't object to my attempts at humor about guys.
I am done on foot talk unless you PM me for further counseling.
You know who I am ..LMAO

... just as you would in any gift-giving situation. As others have said, you can ask her what she might like. Or you can go to her Website and see if she hasn't published a wish list. Either way, be prudent in your choice of gifts.

I think simple, inexpensive gifts are most appropriate. A scented candle is a nice, practical gift for an indy provider whom you are meeting for the first time. A bottle of wine is another. (I make sure to communicate that it is for her and I don't expect her to open it and share it with me. If she does anyway, so much the better.)

Gift cards are yet another good, practical choice. $15 iTunes gift cards work well, especially for younger providers, who all have iPods. Gift cards from Target and Macy's work for everyone. I generally give a $25 Macy's gift card when I book a 60 or 90-minute session and a $50 dollar one for a two-hour session.

If that doesn't work, take note of her tastes in clothes, perfume, etc and try to get something that matches along those lines.

A really nice gift is a robe, because one size fits all, and I've never known a woman who had too many robes.  Make it a real nice silk or cashmere one in a neutral shade.

Also, note what kind of handbag she uses and the condition.  If it is worn, try to get a nice Coach bag that is identical or similar.

What is important about a gift, is that she knows you put effort into it to find something that she will like.

I like to bring wine, and to make it clear I don't want her to open it for us...that's it's really for her and I don't like to drink during a session.  Or, as fisher said, check her site.  My fallback would be some lingerie that I'd like to see her try on during the session.

She knows what our usual is so for Xmas I'm taking her for an extra hour.

If you have to ask what sort of gift is appropriate, then you don't need to be buying a gift.

I'm a relatively decent guy.  I have good friends in the biz.  But I have never ever given a gift to a prostitute just because I was a customer.  I've bought gifts for friends who happen to be prostitutes, but these are generally spontaneous things.  And it's always because they are friends first.  Some of the presents have been elaborate.  A friend working the street told me that it had been boring lately, so I paid someone to show up every night for one week while I was out of town and give her a little gift or get a street performer to do something, at some random point in the night.  She loved it.  I've sent flowers for birthdays etc.  Generally long after I ceased to be a customer.  Most often it's just dinner or drinks, though.  Hang out, my treat.  Same stuff I'd do for guy friends.

But would I buy presents for any provider just because I was a customer?  Expensive jewelry?  Clothes? (this shit is tax-deductible for them, BTW).  No way.  Same reason I'm not handing out gifts to the supermarket checkout lady, various bartenders, waiters, and taxi drivers.  They're doing a job.  They get paid to do it.

Personally, I think it's crass when providers list 'gift ideas' on their web sites.  If you want a date, ladies, then don't ask to be paid!
