Who has the power?

The community often discusses the fantasy part of the hobby.

Today, I was thinking about the real life implications.  Over 50% of the providers I have seen have asked me to see my drivers’ license on first time meetings.  Although nothing negative has ever happened to me it has occurred just how much trust is required for a man to participate in the hobby.

I understand the importance of provider safety (that’s the purpose of advanced screening), however, I wonder what would happen if men were to ask a provider for their ID.

When you consider the implications, providers are completely anonymous while their client’s real identities are known.  I am curious how others feel about this situation.  Do you believe our true identity’s being known shifts the balance of power?

A customer can do all the research he wants but if he picks a lady it's still her call as to whether she sees him or not.  You have the power to spend on who you like but only if she decides she is willing to see you.  There is no "shift".

Ultimately there is some power on both sides. I saw a new lady last week based on my cell number and my first name. Now, I'm not stupid, she probably took that cell number and ran a background check on me. I would have given her more information if she asked for it.  Heck, I even saw her at my apartment. Keep this in mind however. She may have known that I don't have a criminal record but she had no way of knowing when she walked in to my apartment if she was ever going to walk out alive.  Try not to lose sight of that when you are wondering about who has the power...

I have lip prints of every provider who has given me a BBBJ and fingerprints of every one that has touched my ass or chest.

Do you keep them on file? How do you transfer them before they are washed away? LOL...inquiring minds want to know?

fuck her brains out or until her eyes pop out or mine do, which ever happens first.

I had to show an ID a couple times and had no problem with it. Now, if she had wanted to go into the bathroom with my ID to freshen up.... Oh helllll no!

Oh, good luck getting to show their ID in exchange for you showing yours. This is you show me your and I show you mine only as it relates to BCD activities. I am always in a hurry to show mine, as I want to get the laughing and snickering out of the way.

Then off to fucking. lmfao

I just got a funny PM and thought I would share it.

The "real power" is not lost when I show my ID.....its lost the second she has control over my pecker.  We're all pretty helpless about then.

True that!

than they will continue to do just that. Why the fuck would you let someone pretend that their safety is more important than yours? Your a stinking pussy. Be the fucking man and just decline controlling bitches.

Sorry that you are so miserable/angry/hateful/ (got that from your the tone of your post). I hope your day get's better and that seemingly overwhelming feeling of distaste towards women  subside enough for you to actually enjoy them.

Abandon thoughts about power for the moment.

I believe it is a mistake to see providers and hobbyists as completely separate entities with separate interests. The simple fact is that each enables the other. Without hobbyists, the providers wouldn't provide. Without providers, the hobbyists wouldn't hobby.

Because of this, in large measure, hobbyists and providers share certain common interests.

Instead of thinking in terms of "she knows my real name and I don't know hers" -- I suggest re-casting this in different terms.

Instead of thinking of this as a zero-sum game in which any piece of the pie grabbed by one is unavailable to the other; think in terms of a joint enterprise involving two people.

In order to accomplish the common goal, the two participants have to have different prerequisites in order to bring their complementary capacities to bear.

Those prerequisites are different, just as the capacities are different.

The fact that one of her prerequisites might be assurance of your identity doesn't change any power equation unless you are keeping score; any more than the fact her most intimate moments with other men have been exposed to your eyes in advance changes the power equation.

There really IS no "power differential" except for those people who see the world in terms like that.

Instead, it is simply a joint venture, with each party having different requirements in order to bring their best to the table in a successful accomplishment of mutual goals.

NOW -- let's look at identity.

It isn't a power issue. I'm sure, for SOME, especially those enmeshed in various aspects of Marxist class theories, it seems to be a power issue. But in reality, it isn't.

And, in reality, an escort's ability to hide behind a stage name is limited by the fact she commits no other crime.

If you were to wander down to the local police department, tell them that "On June 21st at 4pm I entered room 555 at the X hotel to see an escort and she clubbed me over the head and took my money" they would know her real name within ... oh ... about 30 seconds.

The hotel won't tell YOU her name, (they make you check in with real ID, you know), but they will certainly tell the police. Often without a warrant.

It takes mere minutes for an ISP to respond to a subpoena or warrant revealing the full identity of someone who sent you an email.

So a provider's anonymity is very much predicated on her good behavior.

wrong place.

I get great sex with the focus being entirely on me.  She gets cash. There's no drama, no need to worry about her needs, after my hour I can go on without worrying about her, etc.

Both our expectations are clear going into it, and power is never an issue.

You sound more interested in psychodrama than provider sex.

Maybe you need a GF, or better a wife, than you'll learn about power.

Hey baby Huie....this was intended to be a discussion about men revealing their true identities over and above the standard verification process ie. showing a drivers' license during a first meeting and providers remaining anonymous.

Did you actually read my original post?

I've seen a lot of providers and have never yet shown a driver's lisense or other photo ID.  I doubt I would.

I know a lot more women's real IDs than know mine (never asked for it).  Since you ask I do believe knowing real identity is power, but never thought about it when I've told a provider my info.

Now, have I met clients whose real name i did not know? Of course!!! They are the ones who have no problems providing me with two recent references from well reputed ladies.

Newbies?  Hmmmmmmmmm noop.  Full screening is required.  Anyone saying that they do not have references and does not feel comfortable providing me with information i require in essence is telling me that they expect me to be a lier, a thief and a blackmailer.

I really do not need the funds bad enough to be with someone who thinks so low of me

You actually do know a lot about providers, sometimes even down to what their pussys look like. its not "anonymous" because they  use a stage name.

If you could point me to the website where all the women you've fucked have written or detailed "fantasy" accounts of the time they've spent with you, so i could.. i dunno PM them for more detailed info about you, then maybe id forgo you showing me your ID before i let you in my bed.

seriously how many times does this have to come up? Being a provider and a hobbyist are different. Its not tit for fucking tat all the time.

You wanna see the girl, give her what she wants or don't and go home and fuck your wife. No ones forcing you to pay for pussy.

Oh come on i know y'all missed me ;)
xoxo

When it comes to sex women have most of the power. It just the way it is. We men want sex more so we play by there rules to get it. You rarely hear of a man holding out to get what we want, but women do it all the time. This is because we often want it more and will often go to greater lengths to get laid then most women. In the hobby it is a bit more even because we have something the providers want, our money. But they set the rules. They have our names. Knowledge is power. As far as reviews goes, they have provider referrals, verification sites, and black lists that does about the same thing for them as referrals do for us, which is to make sure they get what they are in this for for the Most part money. As long as men value sex more the women as a whole, and everyone remains civilized, women will always have most of the power. Things are never even in life. Providers have the power.
