I recently got busted in a sting operation. The city in which I was arrested posts names to the their web page and mine comes up in the search engines. Specifically, it takes my full name when googled to show up (top of 1st page) but shows up under lycos and msn when I search using web ferret.  Can anyone suggest a method of removing my name (especially from google) or at least getting buried deeper in pages. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

That would be tough to do unless one had access to the files on the server where the web page is hosted. BTW can you tell us about the sting?

It will likely sink in the results over time.  News articles and updates get buried but the problem is your full name is very unique.  You might considering trying to get OTHER listings that rank higher than the bust article to push your bust down to page 2 or deeper.

What city....so we won't enjoy the same issue?

Hammer, Thank you for your response. St Paul, MN is getting their jollies on this. Best regards, Dragnetted

there are companies you can hire who will flood the web with your name, new web sites, etc., and drive the bad result down/to the second page.

or, you can do it yourself.  get as many free web pages started as you can with your name in the title linkings, etc.. its slower, but cheaper, to do it yourself.
