I've always subscribed to the belief that you can learn alot about the character of a person by how they treat their subordinates, whether it be the valet who parks your car, the hairdresser who cuts your hair, or the waitress who serves your food. The internet is not all that different. WHen someone feels free to say things to someone over the internet that they would never dream of saying in real life, it says alot about their character. More importantly, what it says about their character is not very nice, and doesn't bear being repeated in polite company.

I get what you're saying,  but there's another perspective.  Posting on these boards is like driving around in your car and honking and cursing at the other drivers.  Would you do it if you were face to face with them?  No.  Does it mean that you're a horrible person?  Nope.  Thus, I don't agree the way people behave here reflects the way they treat people face to face.  So anyone who gets overly hurt by the shit thrown around on this board should probably go somewhere else.  No doubt LP and GaG pull a lot of stuff that's much worse and is legitimately out of bounds.  But, all in all, this is a pretty tame place.  In the end, it's just a bunch of immature idiots (of both sexes) having some fun in one of the dark recesses of society.

I post hardly at all anymore except an occasional contribution under one alias or another. Mostly I use TER for the *important* stuff lol....
