The survey question on the TER log-in page asks whether or not you will stay away from Porn Stars given the current state of the industry.  Can anybody tell me what this means?

Most likely referring to the recent HIV scare that involved several porn stars.

The porn stars are not as scary as the porn star wannabes, these providers who take trips to the coast to make a few extra bucks. They often are cast in the most base scenes involving anal play etc. and without a glove. HIV/AIDs is about behavior. Even if you are tested regularly, what makes you so certain that the next time won't happen. The guy at the center of the recent controversy was supposedly tested several weeks before the  others were infected. It underscores that even ladies with the best reputations cannot protect themselves from people who use drugs or experiment sexually. Perhaps the most difficult challenge is knowing who and what someone is into so that you can make the choice. The true porn stars costs more money and may give you more places to stick it, but at what price.

HIV has been around a long ass time now. Now that a few people have tested positive everyone starts to worry. If you have been using condoms, you are safer, if not, good luck. Personally my porn ATF is preggo, and will only be doing girl-girl scenes or with her husband. I will continue to see PS Providers for two reasons. One, I always use a condom. Two, most of the really good providers don't do vids anymore, they have the rep they need to demand the prices they get and it less work escorting than making a video, many of the PS providers I've seen recently have not made a film in many month, so I don't feel any higher risk.
