Though I certainly did in the civie world...  I started out with my HS GF outdoors or in a car...  getting her out of... & back into...  a prom dress in the back of a Dodge Charger was interesting!  One GF in the front seat of a small 4X4 pickup on the beach (kneeling in the passengers side).   Another GF on a floating dock under the stars or in the bottom of a small motor boat.  (We were invivible to all who passed by...  but when we waved to the small plane overhead, he waggled his wings!)   I had camping sex with my ex...   Spontaniously attempted standing between our horses on a remote trail...  horses were not happy & kept moving.  It would have been better if we'd brought halters & lead ropes to tie them properly...  and a spare saddle blanket for the ground.  

Outdoor sex would be like an overnight or weekend...  would have to be with a Favorite lady with a very high trust already established.   It could happen in a lot of suburban backyards or semi rural areas.
