has anyone had the talk where they had to explain to their child why they are a provider and what that means?  how about the rest of the family (brothers, sister, parents)

I'm not trying to put you on the spot, but why do you feel the need to tell anyone? Did someone discover your site, online advertisements or personal files? If no one knows, try keeping it that way. When you are ready to retire, it will be your secret.  

Alex, I'm not sure why you think the OP is a provider.  I think "he" is just curious.  Lots of guys are overly fascinated with providers and want details of their lives that are not really appropriate to be shared.

As far as kiddo is concerned, shes not curious enough to want to know.  The little unexplained things, like how I can manage to lose my keys the second I walk in the door, and why the remote ended up in the freezer are pretty much enough for her to decide she doesnt want to know how or why I do things.  I always defend myself by saying theres a method to my madness..and she always comes back with...more madness than method! LoL
