I turned to the hobby after my messy divorce...

It was honestly the best decision that I've ever made. My fat hog of an ex wife is nothing compared to the women I see in the hobby. Yeah, I know they're professionals, but I would rather have someone who was a professional girlfriend in my life than a professional bitch who was nothing but horrible to me and a drain on my bank account. The women in the hobby, provided you see really well reviewed ones, are honestly some of the most fantastic women I've ever met. I don't know how else to describe it. I am the luckiest guy alive and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I'm still really new to the hobby, so take what I have with a grain of salt, I'm just saying. I'm glad that I have this option, or else I think I would go into a really dark place psychologically.

My situation is similar.

I've never looked back. Yeah, I know why a provider is there, no doubt, but the good ones make you feel that they like you (for a few hours at a time). It is the very best of hobbies, it's perfect, the best part of a relationship without the bullshit. You're paying for it one way or another.

I'll caution you though to remain very clear about the imaginary, yet indelible line. There has been a number of newb's in here falling in love. Remember, if she makes you feel like a million dollars then she's really good at her trade, it's very unlikely that she thinks of you as anything more than a client.

It is a beautiful life.

Excellent advice, sir.

I'll be sure to take it to heart. I'm still new to this and exploring a LOT. My wife didn't take too much in the divorce because she had a terrible lawyer. That means I have lots of money and time to do stuff with it.

ANYHOO, I don't wanna fall in love anytime soon, anyway. I am, however, very open to falling in like, trying out all new names in the field, and forgetting the way I got burned before.

All good advice. Just keep everything in perspective and only play . . .

with discretionary funds.  Never use rent or utility funds, grocery funds, etc.

In the beginning you will have the "kid in a candy store effect".  Just save some cash for the next few months and years.

Play safe and enjoy.

I turned to this game after two messy divorces.

And there will not be a third.  What I found was some amazing people, both hookers and johns.  And some amazing experiences.  Yes, there's been incredible sex.  But what's been the best surprise is I've made some real friends.  Men and women who are like-minded and enjoy each others' company.  It's been quite a gift, actually.

Glad to see that you have withdrawn from the SPOTY competition

and yes marriage is a horrible financial decision, especially if you are a pig with a short attention span like me. At least I am smarter than Nicky, I learned my lesson after giving away all my shit once in life. I have been in love since my divorce oh so many years ago, but I have NEVER again felt even the slightest desire to get married again. I guess some guys are slow learners. lol

Hating on the wife will not win you any warm and fuzzys from the hooker gallery, at least that's been my experience.  

Yeah we all now how nice you were in the marriage and that you are gorgeous and well put together...hang on, no we don't, you could be a fat prick who was a nightmare to be with, so, slamming your wife who is not here to add her 2 cents just makes you a DBag.

Silverstandard: Remember, be thankful that it’s over and your life is no longer a hell on earth with your ex. Starting out in the hobby, your chances of success with providers are better with those that have many positive reviews than those with very little or no reviews. Also, you’re not gaining entrance into the hobby world; you’re offering something of value to other women who also choose to do it. You not only help them make a living, but your company (no matter what body type) is benefiting and justifying their existence; just as they are doing the same for us. In the profession, they just get a little extra, so what is there not to be grateful for? Or, thankful for in this month of November
