Pacemaker

Hi all.  I am pondering having a pacemaker defibrillator put in for a heart condition.  It's not likely to go off during sex.  And even if it did it could be thought of as an extra level of protection in case a fatal heart rhythm begins.  It would only look like a small bump under the skin near the left shoulder.  Would any providers prefer to not see me if I had one?

electrical play

I somehow don't think a TENS unit and pacemaker defibrillator go well together.

Seriously...unless you told her you had the implant she'll never really know.

As well going through airport security will change a tad  LOL

Be sure he knows what your hobby is and get his or her input on this as well.

I think most gals would at least want to know about this before they see you because some might be, justifiably, concerned with the medical complications that could ensue.

Frankly many many folks are walking around with these devices implanted in them.  And for various reasons.  Although I've never heard of someone just getting this implanted for a "shocker" of a good time.

So do you tell every hooker you see that you may drop dead due to a heart attack?  You should...it's a possibility.  Think about it!!

When your doctor told you he thought you should get more exercise, what, exactly, did you think he meant?

I can't speak for the ladies, but what you describe doesn't sound like it should be a problem.  Just tell her you're there for your weekly exercise.  Doctor's orders!

Good luck

She's gonna see or feel it anyway.  I've got paroxysmal afib, but both my cardiologist and urologist say not to worry about it.  It's unlikely to be any kind of problem unless my heart rate goes up too high, but that's never been a problem during sex.  I've got a pill that I always carry to convert the afib and I always have plenty of time to take it.

Have had some pretty vigorous and sweaty sessions lately, no problem at all.  In fact, my cardiologist says that I'm better now than I have been in years, and to stretch my appointments out to only see him once a year, max.  I credit that to changing my diet significantly for the better and working out in the fitness center an hour a day.  Have dropped thirty pounds and converted a lot of fat to muscle.  Have to buy all new clothes, the old ones just hang on me.  My regular told me Thursday that my body is really banging now (6'0" and 187 pounds) and that was after a looonnnggg banging session of almost three hours.  Wore the girl out.

I credit my very positive lifestyle change to the hobby!  I tell my regular that it's all for her...

I tell her it's all for her so she won't have to see an older, balding, overweight, out-of-shape john, she can see an older, balding, in-very-good-shape john.  She gets pissed about calling myself a john.  She tells me I'm a boyfriend who helps pay the bills.

to tell a hooker of your medical conditions? It's not like you have a communicable disease or visible Psoriasis.
Don't be one of those old folks who have to tell the world about their ailments unless you are at the pharmacy waiting line, because no one else cares and the hookers will probably not be interested either.

Because she's going to see or feel it anyway, so why make her uncomfortable by making her guess what it is?  No big deal, just tell her and then go for it.

It's not something that would make anyone uncomfortable.  Have you ever seen anyone who has had this implant?  Google it and that'll give you a decent idea of what it looks like.

As for telling her why it's there...as I said to mrfisher, do you tell every hooker (aside from Corrine/JLS) that you may suddenly and without warning drop dead?

Well...if you've got this implanted perhaps you wouldn't...at least right there on the hookers bed.

But then I expect you are happy to tell all the gals all about your daily routines...your morning dump and afternoon nap(s).

Do you also panic if you have a hangnail?

I know it looks nothing like the dramatic "clear" and the jerking of the person once the 250 joules have been discharged.  My Dad has one and it has gone off and it is noticeable, at least the person with it feels like they have been donkey kicked in the chest.

Maybe not a huge deal about it but if he feels more comfortable letting the hooker know, I don;t see the issue. Me, tell or don't not a big deal. I would not freak if it did go off but some might.
