As a musician myself I would probably be puking my guts up if I did something so stupid. A Violin such as that one is like the Holy Grail. They are beautiful and nearly priceless. He should be thanking his lucky stars he got that back!

He should see that the honest cabby is well compensated.

who passed by that cab that night and thought to himself:  "Break in?, Nah, there won't be anything to steal in there."; and is kicking himself real hard right now.

...How would one possibly get anything close to the value of that item?   Anybody who would give that amount for that item would not only know what it is, but who it belonged to, and how to contact him.

Otherwise he might have gotten a few hundred for it at a pawn shop or the like.

A del Gesu might bring that kind of money, too.  Now, if you want to talk REAL money, try buying a Stradivari cello.

He only gave the cabby $100.00 (one Hundred frikin dollars) for returning the 4 million dollar Violin.. Talk about a cheapskate...

I applaud the Cab Driver for returning it.. but he should have been given more that $100.00
