What about the female condom as an alternative to BBFS?

All the discussion seems to be in regard to male condoms. Female condoms are as effective as male condoms in preventing transmission of STDs. (See Related Link.) Although I have never been able to persuade a companion to use one, I have seen posts on TER to the effect that they give the male essentially all the sensation of BBFS.

Also all the discussion seems to have been about passing STDs between clients and providers. Many providers have boyfriends or husbands.

I quote from http://www.caps.ucsf.edu/pubs/FS/prosttext.php

Like many people in committed relationships, sex workers may find it difficult to discuss condoms or safer sex practices with their partner at home. In one study, although 94% of sex workers used condoms at some point with their clients, only 25% had used condoms with their partners at home. (7)

but they're great. Hard to find in stores these days.... buy online.  FYI... they cost about 4-6x what a regualar condom does...... only fair for Greek. (Hard to stick them up a dry ass"   Use regular condoms for that.  Happy hobbying!

Fuzzy

recently, I like/prefer them.

Pluses -
1. If you are someone who produces a good amount of pre-cum, much less, or no, lube is needed. Try as they will, scientists still can't completely mimic our 'organic' stuff in terms of feel.

2. Not having to pause in the heat of the moment to wrap Mr Happy. This depends more on when the lady decides to insert her condom. Having had the chance at using this on an overnight, after she did the morning freshen-up, she came back to bed with it already inserted. We also used it during a session after some mighty fine DATY. It took a minute or two to insert. (The tighter a lady, the more time unless they are used to inserting it. We had some nice laughs as we felt we were two scientists experimenting. "Wow, that's interesting", "Do you think it is all the way in?", "Here, let me check!"

Minuses -
1. Does have a bit of a 'sound' at times, but if you're pleasing your lady properly, her moans/sighs should be louder anyway, right? ;-)

2. Since there is a chance upon entering that you may 'miss' the opening, care needs to be given to making sure you insert properly. The lady will want to verify this, so usually her hand will guide yuou in or verify every time you are fully out and want to go back in. Wheras, with a male condom, in and out is not a problem. Faster to re-enter when changing positions.

3. Gets in the way of DATY. But, if you have a lady adept at inserting them, she can wait until DATY is over without Mr Happy going for an early siesta.

4. Cost. But really, especially for anyone who schedules multi-hours involving $500-$1000-or more, is this really an issue when you can get one for ~$8. I don't think 'margins' are so tight that one can't be kept at the ready should it be requested.

I don't think cost is the issue though. I just think chicks hate them.

They are super!!! Ive never been able to find them at local discount stores, but you can find them at your local "adult fun" store or do a google search for an online retailer.

Yes they are more expensive but I recently stocked up from an online retailer and its pretty cost effective in bulk. (yeah i said bulk!!)

Once you get the hang of putting them in they feel great for all parties involved and make the transition from warm up to play virtually seamless!!! a little lube and your good to go!!!

I think theyre better personally, but make an investment and ask the lady if she minds experimenting with it and find out for yourself. You wont be sorry!!!
