I've recently received a healthy and unexpected windfall on top of my tax return and was considering splurging on a really big trip to reward myself for getting through a rough start to the year.  A lot of the websites I've found seem old and out of date and I'm also concerned about safety on trips to Central and South American countries as a foreigner.
