I have recently had a few Providers request my TER handle so that they can use the info to verify me. I am all for the safety of the all concerned but am wondering if this is the right thing to do..Can some of the "old hands' comment on this..

If it makes them feel comfortable???? Maybe they want to make sure that you are who you really say you are, and that you did see these ladies, and that you are indeed, a hobbyist.

Now, if she starts asking for your social security number, then run boy..run lol ;)

As I understand it, your handle does not give them access to your profile.  Someone who is more knowledgeable than I am, correct me if I am wrong.

They can, I believe see how many reviews you have written.  Which, if you have written many, can only help you in clearing their screening.

I have given my handle to anyone who has asked. The only possible repercussion would be a provider refusing to see you because of something you have  posted about either them or another lady. IMHO, if you are fair and honest in your dealings here on TER you don't have anything to worry about. I wouldn't be interested in seeing anyone who had a problem an honest post or review anyway.

Of course, you can always flame and run using an alias as some do....

have I regretted it.
I commonly give my TER handle to a lady to give her a better feel for who I am.
The only time I have regretted it, I felt unable to post a review of the session or warn my fellow hobbyists about her (very) unsafe practises because she had my TER handle AND my personal information.  In that case, she would have known who wrote the review, and how to get back at me if she was that kind of person.

I don't have a problem giving out my handle as a form of verification. The only drawback is if you have to post a not-so-flattering review of the provider and don't want her to know it was you.

IF you select well...you shouldn'yt have to worry about that. Also, letting her see previous reviews and tastes might help her understand what type of experience you want. I guess it could work both ways...

Oh well, you do what you gotta do.  It's all fiction anyway, right?

The flip side is that most of the ladies screen me by asking for a PM, since I'm known on the local board.

I actually offer my handle, and will send them a message on here, to ease any concerns and to make the first meet more relaxed....

that way tension can be eased, and we can get to the good stuff!

although I didn't give out my handle, it's kind of easy to figure out when you refer to specific details in the review.

Hell hath no fury like an escort you give a bad review.

As for her understanding "what type of experience you want". Wouldn't just telling her after things get rolling be a lot simpler ?

list you without that info...sure makes screening a whole lot eaiser.

Some gents like to hide that info and really not sure why but you all know who and the heck we are!

just me thoughts

It's usually isn't hard to figure out who wrote a review...

I've had many gents want you to read prior reviews so you can see what kind of experience he enjoyes.

In that case, you can't blame them for not wanting to see you and risk having you fuck up their record with a lower score than they're used to.

I would prefer providing a referral before giving out my handle.  I once had a provider decide not to see me based on her reading my reviews.  That sucked (no pun intended per my alias)

Interesting discussion..THanks one & all. So the issue is if you have given your TER handle & you have had a  resulting negative experience you are better off not doing the review due to reprecussions?
