Birthmothers day is a day reserved to honor mothers who have given a child up for adoption or have participated in surrogacy and is celebrated today, May 10, the day before traditional Mothers Day.  Although I'm not one of these myself, I have met many providers in the biz who have made this choice and I feel that it's just as important as Mother's Day....
