Dinner Date Dress Expectations: Conservative versus Provocative.

When you're seeing a well-reviewed top provider for an extended date, what do you expect her to be wearing?

This hobby is about the illusion of a real date & providing the overall experience, not just about getting laid.  I don't always do dinner dates but when I do, I avoid dos equis and have a nice glass of cabernet.... plus the expectations I have of her mimics the expectations I'd have if I'm taking a comparable civvy girl out on a date.

I'm sure every guy has slightly different preferences, but for me I prefer her to be wearing something less provocative in public when meeting me.  If liberal/nude/outrageous is 1 and extremely conservative is 10, I'd say somewhere between 5 and 6 would most be attractive to me.

Sometimes not revealing too much has the best effect on my drunk senses since it teases the men's curiosity of what's underneath the nice gift wrapping.  There needs to be some fun and anticipation built-up when unwrapping the gift.

If the girl advertises herself as an 'upscale courtesen', I think it's important that she doesn't look like a skanti-clad street walker but someone who can be perceived as attractive and with class.

PS: if we're going to a club, social event, etc... I wouldn't mind her wearing this. It's appropriate for the occasion. :D

If it's a scene place like Nobu or Lavo, then dress like you are going out and dressing to impress.  If it's a fancier place that's more quiet and reserved, then don't dress like you would going to Lavo.

is my motto. Whenever your out on a "date", just dress appropriately. not to quote above but I have had Drunken Asian's  "If the girl advertises herself as an 'upscale courtesen', I think it's important that she doesn't look like a skanti-clad street walker" actually happen once to me. When we were going to a $200 a plate restaurant in Vegas and she dressed for a happy meal at McDonalds.

DANG I thought I splurged big in the hobby,  but $200 a plate.... that's fucken insane!!!  :D

Just the plate $200... No champagne or wine or anything?

What do they serve,  pasta with Gold leaflets?

Monkey Brain Delicatessen served with a hammer and a spoon to dig in?

Meat from endangered species??? :s

Dinner at a very exclusive sushi restaurant in LA. The total including sake and several rounds of sushi came to over $800. There were just two of us. No- none of the sushi had gold flakes in it. :D. But it was seriously the best sushi I've had since Tokyo!

Back in my old days I had a client who loved Alex in Vegas. Dinner there for the two of us regularly cost well over $500.

Some people just like to spend money on food! I prefer spending it on shoes. I coulda had some nice Manolos for that sushi dinner. Lol!

Rest of us broke drunks feast off Golden Corral dinner buffets. ALL YOU CAN EAT!

I personally prefer to spend $500 for a really good session, over food.  Screw the food, I'll grab a chipotle and eat on the way to seeing the provider.

Now if I'm taking a girl out to a $500 ~ $1000 dinner, I'll be taking a CIVVY girl there... not a paid date.  Already paying the girl for an extended date, ain't gonna watch her eat up another $1k in dinner. lol

$200/plate still seems high, but if it's a civvy date, I wouldn't really mind as long as she shows me signs of liking me back.

Those were the good ole days. ;)

Yep- I can totally understand! It's fascinating what we each put value on when it comes to this arena of play! :) And nobody's wrong for their choices. It's all fun!! :)

Lol at "Drunken Asians"  yes I am Filipina, I do enjoy a cock-tail (pun intended) however I make it a point to not get wasted while in the public. =) After all we ladies must stay balanced in our heels.

Back to the topic - indeed it is important to dress for the occasion, it makes for a comfortable and enjoyable time for the gent.  Personally I have a wide range of attire for any occasion, and it does help to have a heads up, even a special request from a gent.  Like many women I can imagine, we have purchased a special dress for a wedding, special occasion, etc. and so an elegant dress is perfect for dining out at a fancy restaurant, which I have several dresses having only worn once or twice, and would love to pull it out for a special occasion.   Ladies love to get dolled up.

Without any special request, I dress casually sexy, not too revealing, but always nice and attractive.  Does that help?  I say just let your lady know what you have in mind for activities.  I can remember vividly an extended encounter where my dress was appropriate for the fancy dinner, cocktails in an exclusive private lounge, and watching a show as well.  If the occasion calls for dancing at a club after, or just private fun in the bedroom, I can easily bring a "little" something to get comfortable and sexy in, just in my purse. At a size XS, my sweet nothings can fit in any of my purses =)

Have fun and enjoy
Then again, for daytime activities, I can bring a bikini if pool time is requested

Interesting domain name by the way. Very creative!

Salut my friend... getting ready to step out and have a drink myself =) Thanks, I chose my name wisely. And I think I was drunk.  Just kidding everyone I am totally not a drunk. Lol

she probably has a big enough wardrobe to suite your tastes. I like my ladies provocatively dressed to turn heads, lift eyebrows and what have you. Many like the attention too.

I don't take ladies out to dinner at home so there is minimal risk I run into someone I know and have some explaining to do. Most of the ladies I take out don't show their face as well on advertising so risk is minimal.

It is possible to dress provocatively without looking like a street walker. If you look at shows like the Oscars, Emmy Awards and it happens all the time.

I like the dress but it doesn't show enough cleavage for my taste. My motto is, if you got it, show it!

every well reviewed top provider knows how to dress for any occasion..we are not talking about backpage teeny-bopper skanks here..

her date has requested she dress on the slutty side.  I would NEVER darken my door dressed like a hooker.  A lady knows how to dress sexy and classy at the same time.

Personally I can't stand the looks people give me that in my mind are saying "look at that hooker", but I know some people get off on the shock value and that's fine for them.  Have Fun!

And truly shows how different individuals have different guidelines of what is appropriate and inappropriate.

This attire, while may fit DrunkenAsians perception of what is appropriate for an occasion when out with him, would raise eye brows and many whispers in my social circles. Many of the clubs I belong to would not even allow me to bring someone into them who was dressed in this.

There is nothing wrong with the outfit or DAs taste, but it does illustrate well how there are many different class distinctions and taste on this board, which explains many of the differentiating scores on reviews.

Personally, even if traveling where no one knows me, I would never ask a woman to leave her house like this, as I would imagine that it may raise eye brows with her neighbors and in her own home area and the looks we would get while out to a place of my comfort level would leave me uncomfortable.

For the ladies of the board, would you feel comfortable in this dress say going to Mortons or The Four Seasons for dinner, or would you consider this more something appropriate as a day time dress going to someplace like the Palms Pool area?

When going to a popular Dance Club / Night Club where a bunch of my 20-something friends hang out, it would actually be "Out of Place" not to where something provocative.  I like conservative but also like fitting in with the crowd depending on the occasion.  When the occasion involves a dance club, well a tight dress is appropriate where as a business suit becomes closer towards inappropriate.

Now if the occasion involves going to a strip club and the lady I'm with is a stripper, well she'll have to fit the occasion too.

Everywhere else, I'd like my lady dressed as if she's in some professional setting rather than looking like she's dancing on a pole.

If I'm at the bar at the Ritz Carlton where one of my fav ladies like to hang out, I expect her to be dressed without exposing much of her skin.

If I'm taking the girl to a company party, hell I hope she isn't dressed too provocatively!

You following me?  :)

I always provide matching tee shirts that read, "He's my uncle" and "She's my niece" That way we don't raise any suspicion in public. If it's a formal occasion like a wedding or fancy dinner, I use black tee's with gold lettering.

something curve hugging with a moderate amount of skin showing.   As hot as the above illustration is, it's too short & backless is too much.   I'd prefer 3/4 knee +/-, a scoop neck with a bit of cleavage but no more than many gals commonly wear these days.   Wish those styles were around when I was that age!!

downtown (big city) 5 star restaurant, then dress in a suit or equivalent. If you are going to a beachside restaurant, then something more casual would be appropriate.

I agree with this!  Also the provider and client should be similar in dress because a well dressed woman and sloppy man (or vice versa) is always a dead giveaway since it draws too much negative attention!

A woman should dress to attract attention. To attract the most attention, a woman should be either nude, or wearing something as expensive as getting her nude is going to be.  --P.J. O'Rourke

Save the clothes that scream "I am his whore" for the bedroom! I always dress to turn heads not to raise eyebrows!

A nice skirt, and sexy top and heels, or a dress that hugs just enough but not too much. A nice pair of slacks and heels and a flattering top.

I want him to imagine undressing me, so the anticipation is driving him crazy till we are alone!
