In today's edition of obvious: colds are contagious

I know it's easy to think with the little head but I've now been left to be sick as a dog due to a major cold these last few days. We should abstain from these activities when not feeling well. In fact, when I cancelled on someone due to it, they actually said, "it's ok, I don't mind if you have one".

Have you ever caught a cold and you just knew it was from doing this?

It's just as easy to catch one by handling the change given you by a cashier as it is from a kiss.  Hmmmm....this makes me wonder if one can catch a cold from pussy juice?  Any docs out there?

No but I caught a major case of the clap one time and I'm pretty sure it was from doing this! Why didnt she tell me she had it?

From a stripper in Philadelphia, a place called Delilah's or something like that- she was russian.. .. I have now sworn off strip clubs.. Not worth it..

I am aware of colds,etc.. on my own part.. I would cancel if I had one.. The problem is that I saw my ATF about 3 weeks ago, and the next week, I felt sort of like I had a cold... I was hoping I was exposed after I saw her.. Even Googled.. when symptoms appear.. Usually 24 to 48 hours after exposure.. I saw her FRiday.. but started feeling crappy the next Tuesday..
Also this time of year.. It's sometimes hard to fiigure out what is a cold and what is just dry air bothering me..

I used to catch a lot of colds, but I don't think it was from providers.  I think is was from people at work as they are always coming in when they are sick.

I haven't had too many colds for the last ten years as I've been using a special vitamin C compound using mushrooms and garlic extracts and it seems to do the trick for me.

I would nevertheless appreciate people telling me if they are ill and of course I would not go out and see them if I were.

That happened 20 years ago, and I still remember how it really... really... really sucked.

I think she caught it from drinking a beverage at a dorm party where the glass wasn't cleaned properly between uses.  I later found out that several other random people in that freaking dormitory had mono at about the same time and some of them were at the same party.  Talk about playing russian roulette when someone hands you a drink and says "here, drink this!".

To make it even worse, the first guy in that dorm who had mono (that I was aware of) was some effeminate gay guy who really looked and talked like a woman, I think all other cases of mono in the dorm originated with him, spreading it to dirty glasses, spreading it further with heteros kissing, and then later realizing that all of this started with that gay guy is what disgusts me the most whenever I think about it.

Well at least there is some good news, the doc said that my body is now immune to mono.

I got gonorrhea from a college girl once. I don't think it came from a dirty glass. ;)

I don't know when you went to college, but if there were 'review' websites back then, you could have warned your fellow mongers that they might want to get a shot of penicillin after seeing her!

I guess college students these days just post warnings like that on each others' Facebook pages.   haha.

1970's. It was a "civvie", and there was nothing but the grapevine for news to get out.

Primitive times, but gonorrhea wasn't fatal.

What with all the concoctions you use  LOL

I don't get colds since I avoid all human contact....my friend Howard Hughes strongly recommended this to me.

Seems to work  ;)

Well I'm glad I've got none of those but seriously just stay away when even a small cold exists. You never know what someone else's immune system might be like and a small cold can be a big one for others. Doesn't help this freaking NYC weather seems to be mirroring TaylorSteele's personality, schizo all the way. Snow last week and mid 60s yesterday and today.

Couldn't resist TS :-)

as I never use drugs for medicinal purposes, only recreational ones, and I don't even do that any more.

I will confess that I eat a lot of mushrooms and use a lot of garlic. Maybe that's why I never get sick, and here I always thought it was all the alcohol in my system that kept me healthy.

Your site doesn't work in Firefox on a Mac. I can't see a thing. Tell your designers to do cross-browser and cross-platform testing before you pay the final fee.

Just trying to let you know that some potential customers can't see your site. I don't mean me, I mean potential customers in your market.

clarify...website 'designer' I am...absolute techy nerd? I am not. But I do my best. There's a succinct difference, at least in my book. I have no way to check to my knowledge how it works on a Mac at this time nor every platform known to man, but thank you for pointing it out lol. I do appreciate your concern, for my 'other' potential customers that is. So far, they've had no problems contacting me to 'date'. Care to point out the mobile is not up to par either...I know...I am working on it as best I can, but unfortunately I only have so many hours in the day Springer.

Care to help out? Lend a helping hand? I could use an assistant. I mean your daughter's a techy nerd isn't she? maybe we could trade services? She seems to have plenty of time on her hands but she'd have to come off her meds to work for me.

Perhaps I should remind you oh father....some of us take a ridiculous amount of time and pride in 'representing' ourselves to the best of our ability, although not perfect, we 'try' at least. Ya know, so gentlemen like you don't have to worry or question what they're 'buying' when 'we' walk in the door. It's in the now.....you have to agree at least, that is 'kind of' important, isn't it?

I don't know, just a thought......it was worth a try. Ok, no time for chatting....this slave driver must get back to work now ;)

About 2 months ago a provider texted me a couple of days after seeing her to tell me she was sick with strep throat. Sure enough I got strep too. It was OK though. I'm very healthy and it didn't get me down. I was able to keep from spreading it around my family. After a few days it was gone. I was more worried about her.

I don't know what your fucking problem is, but here's a suggestion: crossbrowsertesting.com . You can sign up for a month. You can select as many different platforms (Windows Vista, XP, Mac OSX, Linux, Android, Blackberry, etc) and as many different browsers as you want (Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome, etc), and all of the different editions of the platforms and browsers.

You can test your site in real time to see how it works with all of the different platforms and browsers, and decide if you can get by with some not working properly (or at all).

You may take a "ridiculous amount of time" presenting yourself, but if 10% of visitors to your site can't see it, how much does that hurt your business?
