I just am still in denials about that fact .. yet I have had so many evidences that THAT DOES exist.
 
Can  you spot such ?

How you would react?

I hope we are here NOT come even close to such but as responsible members of adult communities  would you take an action?

Or you just ail walk away and close your eyes?
and ears and heart?

I just curious to hear stories of our beloved gentlemen here I am sure they have a lot what to say and how they do participate to stop such terrified manifestation of human slavery and it is the US . We can t allow THAT here.

as a noob...

I'd love to say that I could identify and would somehow help but sadly, no. IMHO until laws are changed in the USA, there is not much I can do from my point of view aside from letting others know of my experience via reviews. I'd be worried I would either misjudge the situation and cause undue trouble or just make a bad situation much worse for the both of us.  

Am I wrong?

We as a society. Have become not very nice ...

That statement about society struck me because I hear it a lot.   I will be the first one to stand in line and say that the world could be better and that we could be nicer to each other.   However, to borrow the words of one famous philosopher, life tended to be nasty, brutish, and short.  When I think about all the times in human history in which I would have liked to live, I would choose the present, no question about it.     For all the shortcomings we may have as a society, tremendous strides have been to make life a lot better for a whole lot of people.   I don't want to dismiss that there is a lot of suffering in this world and that we need to always strive to improve but there has not been a better time to be alive in human history, at least IMO.

Concerning the article itself, we need to remember that the media likes to hype certain things.  That is not to say that there isn't human trafficking right here under our noses, I believe there is.   In fact, I have gotten my hands slapped, and no doubt will again, when I have said that I will not take my hobbying business to certain establishments because my big head tells me that there is some risk that the person I would see may not doing this out of her own free will.   The probability maybe small, but so long as that bug is in my big head, then why risk it when there are so many independent ladies who have a good head on their shoulders?  

My first encounter in P4P happened 20 years ago and I would be lying if I did not admit that at certain points I have had a tough time with the hobby precisely because I go down the rabbit-hole of thinking about whether someone is engaging in this activity with free will.   Even if it is done out of desperation, but it is an educated decision, does the desperation negate that it is free will?  There are many ways to play around with this and drive yourself crazy.   Obviously, I have come to my own conclusions or I would not be alright participating in this activity.     What I will say is that we are all exposed to a ton of brain-washing, I mean, look at the article, it is presumed that 1,000,000 adults and 400,000 are risk.  Big numbers, right?   How is one 'at risk?' and how was this presumption made?    Again, I am not trying to take the issue lightly, there is trafficking, but I wonder to what an extent.

I would also venture to say that most of the guys from this venue would do something constructive if they were to spot a human-trafficking situation.

Yes, there are things you can do.

But big caveat: nothing is completely foolproof.  That said:
1) If she seems very young, ask to check her ID to be sure she's of age.  It is the young who are most vulnerable to trafficking.
2) See independents who are at east in their mid-twenties.  An indy with her own web site and at least ten reviews is much less likely to be trafficked.
3) Don't go to "fast houses."  They are often staffed by trafficked Asians or Latinas.
4) Save for the high end girls, who charge at least $250 per hour.
I'm sure there are more caveats but these are the ones that come quickly to mind.  Beyond that, just be alert to her mood and demeanor.  All this said, refer to my first statement.
You can also support sex workers rights groups and decriminalizing sex work

To me the answer is quite simple really.

If I found out something like that was happening locally I would find every member who was running it and shoot them in the face.  People like that are the lowest forms of life and dont deserve the one they have so Ill take it from them.  Done.

That's right.  It wasn't.  It turned out to be a lot of paranoid hype by the media and a few (perhaps well intentioned but ill informed) parents and  activists.  Clearly there are people in the world suffering the fate of sex slavery.  And we should do our best to combat it. At the same time we need to make sure we understand the facts vs. the hype.

BTW while I  agree that the modern age is much preferable to just about any time in the past (I don't know how much "nicer" things could have been when women couldn't vote, getting a bad cut was likely a death sentence or science and witchcraft were considered the same thing) the point Hobbes was making is that an UNCIVILIZED life, i.e. one without a strong central government,  is short, nasty and brutish.

Notice that this fashion-du-jour "sex trafficking" so conveniently popped up right about the time the war on drug is being defeated with widespread acceptance of marijuana?

It is nothing but a BS Scam invented and perpetuated by LE and NGO Industry Complex to replace the war-on-drug scam for the purpose of milking the taxpayers' money.

This so-called "problem" is not something new nor does it SUDDENLY exploded in magnitude. Real "sex trafficking" does happen but consistently RARE, then as now. Nothing ever changes.

Disagree! what if said girl after being turned down went to ask somebody else who turned out to be not nearly as nice? someone who would take advantage of her to become her pimpette?

While she has every right to decline and is in no way responsible for what's going to happen to this girl later I wouldn't be too quick to "congratulate" her either.

I have certainly heard tales of woe...

The girl who is providing to take care of her family's medical bills.

The girl who's no good husband divorced her leaving her with young children and the bills

The girl who has three teenage daughters to support and can't on her skill set.

The girl who had more of a taste for luxury footwear than her other skills can earn.

I have not yet run into an independently wealthy hooker.   That being said - I do admire a girl willing to buck up and do what needs doing for whatever reason - even if it's just for a new pair of Louboutins.  

Lots of tales out of there.  Some may actually be true. Certainly tugs at your heart strings - don't it - especially the girls who are footwear deprived.  But then I have her give me a wonderful BJ and... hey... I feel better and she has some money in her pocket and she feels better.  Sort of Win-Win..
