About a month ago, Texted a number listed on Bedpage. Rec’d a text back to confirm details. I didn’t follow-up b/c seemed a bit sketchy. About an hour later started receiving threatening texts with pictures of mutilated bodies from someone named Samiro Lopez who was head of the house the girl belonged to. He said I wasted her time and now I owe him money. He then called my cell threatening to come after my family and also text a pic of him holding a gun.  All images traces on Google were pics from Years old drug cartel murders etc. totally bogus crap.  I didn’t respond but just yesterday received another call and texts.

Geez... traced number to somewhere in Texas .. I’m in Maryland.   Should I report?  If so to whom? Or ignore and hope it goes away?  I could get w new phone but he has traced it back to my name.

Its a hollow threat. I guess you could say they are phishing. Nothing, nothing will become of it, but they hope to get the rare super scared noob who caves and sends them a few sheckles. Block the number and move on, and stay away from Bedpage.

DCRR, your final sentence really catches my attention. Are you using a burner phone, or is it your everyday cell?

is the ability to call and text.  No other features are necessary.  You can get a bare-bones phone very cheaply that is already loaded with a specific amount of time.  When you use it up, they can load more time onto it completely anonymously.  Pay in cash.  You should never use a phone that can be traced back to your real name and/or billing address.

Bedpage is way down market from where you want to be if you want to avoid these kinds of scams.  When you see an ad for a girl, check here on TER and see if she is listed.  Then you can be 99% sure she's legit.  If she's not on TER, keep looking.

Agree w/ all the comments. I have an old spare contract phone I use ... yes I should use a burner. Certainly will going forward.

Regarding Bedpage and only using girls on TER, That used to be my mantra. But there hardly any girls on TER in my neck of the woods (Northern Virginia/Herndon/Ashburn) listed on TER and listing services are few and far between. RubRatings or Eros are about it and the former seems to list only AMPs in my area.

In this line of work. You should just block phone numbers like that. If you report it, then you'll just cause more trouble for yourself (Possible Jail time for Escorting; which is illegal).  So just ignore & block number.

Hopefully the original poster has learned a lesson to have a separate phone not just a separate phone number. Boost Mobile phones are cheap and unlimited usage for $35 a month. Also make sure you have an email address that has a zero relationship to your real life.

A couple years ago one escort emailed all her clients about a special she was running unfortunately she did not blind copy the email address is so everyone could see everyone else's email address. Many were obvious fakes like Bob 9 in but some of them were legitimate looking business email addresses imagine that must have been very embarrassing

DCRR, you wrote, "I have an old spare contract phone I use"
I'm not sure if you mean that that's the phone you use for all your communications including hobbying, or if it's the phone you only use for hobbying.

Personally, this is one area I do not mix business with pleasure, everyday life with clandestine life, family and friends with fucking escorts.  Burner phone all the way, and it contains absolutely none of my true identity, no connection to me whatsoever.

Burner phones can be just as dangerous imho. What happens if your SO finds your burner phone? Do you hide it? No place is hidden enough from the right woman!!

We all saw what happened to Walter White when Skyler found his "work" burner phone.

Seems to me that if found by the wife, there is absolutely no excuse you can come up with to explain?
