Do Any Guy's Think Platform's Are Sexy?
I've noticed a trend in strip clubs and escort's ads where they are wearing these platform heals. IMHO they didn't look good in the 70's and for the life of me I have no idea how or why these things made a come back. Come on guys, do any of you actually think these things are sexy? I've heard a ton of lady's say they are uncomfortable and I couldn't imagine trying to dance in them. As far as escorts wearing them, I don't think they ad anything as far as being sexy. If anything they seem more comical to me. Many lady's will say they wear these things for us, but I for one don't think they are sexy. They look clumsy and awkward.

The '00's are better than the '70s because of the advent of new plastics. I especially love the new crystal clear ones.

IMHO they are not sexy, cute, or flattering to a lady at all. Like the original poster said, they make a lady look clumsy instaed of graceful and eligant like she should be. They just look cheap and gaudy to me. Notice they never make such uncomfortable monsters for men to wear and most shoe designer's are men. All I'm saying is that I doubt a woman would come up with such a horror.
the high platform in the front keeps from arching the foot as severely as a pump or non platform high heel would. A six inch platform usually has a three inch platform in the front...thereby only arching the foot three inches...also they are padded a bit.they are mostly opened toed which helps to prevent bunions and the worst wear and tear imaginable on a strippers foot. They first became popular in the las vegas clubs where walking several miles in an evening in high heels is not uncommon...if you have been to some of the bigger clubs there you know what I mean. With so many women from out of town dancing in vegas they spread across the country like wildfire, and of course pamela anderson loves them... they also tend to last alot longer than a traditional high heel. No they are not necessarily "comfortable"
but compared to a pump or a heel that is over three inches without a platform they are more comfortable. Alot of strip clubs also have a four inch heel minimum for their dancers, which of course violates sub contracter laws which most strippers work under but no one seems to care. They are however much easier to twist your ankle in espeically if one has had a couple of cocktails. I personally think wearing them anywhere besides a strip or night club is a bit tacky and makes one look less than discreet if going on an appointment particularly in an upscale hotel
but would not want to be walking around town with someone wearing them -- they look out of place when not in the strip club.

I do not find platform shoes (inanimate objects) sexy. Rather, they appear trashy for my taste. Occasionally, however, I will find a lady wearing platform shoes sexy, although not often.
Of platform shoes.
The ones you see that look super clunky and too big for a woman's foot, are generally designed for men who wear heels. TV's, TS's, all the T's, and crossdressers. I have honestly seen the difference because I'm friends with a pro-domme who has a crossdressing closet... those shoes are NOT made for women and do not look right on a woman's foot. I think some people don't know that though and think they are all the same...I would've, had I not seen two pairs to compare and contrast! There *are* indeed platforms that are designed more with women in mind and are more graceful and slim and compact... and those I think can be verrrrrrry sexy.
They are also far easier to walk in, must be way way easier to dance in for strippers, and your feet won't hurt as much because the foot doesn't arch as much. I do own some straight up six inch heels, but ummmm I don't walk *anywhere* in them. Not even across the room =:O (Just lay me down in those things, save me from hurting myself, okies? You can admire their beauty from up close when they are up in the air, really truly!)
I wouldn't wear platform heels out... but then, I wouldn't wear any super high heel out because I know I'll be miserable because my feet will be killing me! I usually wear sexy but fairly low three inch heels if I am *out.*

IMHO they all look tacky, but especially the ones with big clunky heels. At least they should have spike heels. For strippers just plain high heels with thin straps and spikes are sexiest. For excorts, I like the "nudie" sandals with medium low heels (I'm kinda short) or just plain old pumps with bare legs are very sexy. And I love to be met at the door in bare feet!

Those things look awful and personally I prefer a good open toe high heel that oooozes sex appeal. Lets not forget the thigh highs with the normal stilletto by either Gucci or Blahnik.
A classy lady knows this and I know of some who will even ask you over the phone if they appeal to you.
Many gents like them but I am older and prefer a hot and expensive normal stilletto.
A lady that sreams CLASS knows this.
(which BTW was in the mid 90's and platforms were very much in vogue then - where have you been?)
Anyway, men LOVED them. And they are comfortable. I tried wearing five inch spike heels and was hobbling in 30 minutes. I could wear six inch platforms and dance an 8 hr shift no problem because the arch of the foot was not so severe - most of the height came from the platform, not from standing on your tippytoes which is what does real damage to the foot.
As for looks, I thought they were cute for younger girls. They start to look too boppy when an older girl wears them. As far as clients, I had many people buy them for me, ask me to wear particular ones, even foot fetishists buying them, taking them home, etc. Even today I get an occasional request for platform shoes but not any other kind. If you don't like them, just mention it and most girls would be happy to wear what you like.
