I was introduced by an old poker gentleman friend of mine who wrote my first review. He was banned & my review was removed. I never knew of TER prior to him. I have been a member of TER, since 2005. When I started as an adult entertainer I was not GFE, but over the years I have evolved. Life is good!

There was a newspaper in Boston called the "Boston Pheonix" which was thee place to look for adult services in Boston since at least the 1960s  I looked up a girl's name I found in the ads "Deepthroat Darlene"

The internet was text back then, no pictures.  A picture took a few hours to download.  Speeds were measured in "baud"...or something like that.  I am not a techie.

I don't think Google was around then.  There was a search engine called Alta-Vista.

I was bored and remember a friend talking about seeing escorts without giving any detail. Slowly I started doing research and quickly figured out TER was reliable source for decent info. At first I was hesitant about paying for membership and I bought my first year membership with intention of cancelling next year which never happened and I keep renewing every year.

I first became aware of TER after discovering Backpage and seeing TER mentioned in many of the ads.

I had not yet participated in this "hobby" and signed up for a TER account. After being teased by partial reviews I paid for VIP. After reading full reviews I became convinced that I should try it once. Well, I've seen a lot more than one provider after getting a taste.

Ooops. I meant, "All the news that's fit to print." :-)
"In 1897, Adolph S. Ochs, the owner of The New York Times, created the famous slogan "All the News That's Fit to Print," which still appears on the masthead of the newspaper today."
.
I learned about TER in an article in The New York Times.

I got ripped off by a back page girl and googled how to avoid getting scammed

I first learned there were review sites by randomly reading an article in one of those counter-cultural weekly papers.  The article was an early anti-review opinion piece -- recounting the hurt feelings of providers for being called fat, etc.
.
After reading that I did search for the review sites and found some online.  I don't remember which ones I found.  And I sort of dropped it for a few years.  But I kept it in the back of my mind that they existed.  Anyway I was having an affair with my ex-girlfriend so that kept my sexual fantasies focused.  But after my divorce (got caught) that affair eventually died out.  And after I got married again I started getting the urge for some variety.  (It's probably true, once a cheater always a cheater.  The urge never dies.)
.
That's when I searched for review sites again and found TER.  I think I viewed TER for a year or two before actually seeing my first provider and my first paid for sex.

with the name and number of a woman on it. She was the first woman I ever met in the demimonde. I remember her name was Karina, and she had hundreds of reviews.

Karina took a liking to me (or perhaps pity) and explained many things to me, especially how to stay safe, find reputable ladies using TER and other boards, and to screen using services like Date-Check and P411.

She has since retired and moved elsewhere, but Karina helped me to get a safe start in this world. That was back in about 2012.

In fact, you can still get to TER by typing http://lareviewer.com.  It could come in handy in case your search history is checked - at least it won't say "erotic."

ASPD.. Old timers might remember it..  So.. I had just moved to DC area from Southern PA in 2002-03 and was working a real job for the first time. I was introduced to the hobby in Southern PA AMP.

Since DC was a such a new arena for me, I thought to myself. This has to be a better place to hobby than Southern PA.  First i looked up the Yellow pages, but couldn't find anything that was reliable. They all sounded sleazy.  So I started looking on the Internet and found a forum called ASPD.net.  On the forum I found a lady who went by Simone.  That's DC Simone for you DC folks, and she would end up being my first local appointment..  It was on ASPD forum that someone mentioned TER to me, and rest as they say is the history.

It was around 2010 and I started surfing sex sites because I knew I'd be taking that route as soon as I could. I stumbled onto TER pretty quickly and the rest is history.
It's been a lot of fun.

While laying around admiring her Mickey Mouse tramp stamp she ask if I knew of this site called “The Erotic Review “. Never heard of it then but now…well here I am

And Googled “escorts”…which led me to CraigsList and Eros Guide, and then TER.

Many years ago, I met an escort from Philadelphia in a Vegas casino. She told me about TER and that she had reviews there.

I was recently divorced.  I had photographed nudes in the past and wanted to start doing so again.

I found ModelMehem.  One of the models had a link to P411.  I joined P412 with most of the provider listings having a link to TER.

CIRCA 2011.

Once I figured things out it evolved quickly from photographing naked ladies to mutual fucking.   I still do both, but the photography part has gone by the wayside most of the time.

Been a member of TER ever since

mentioned that there were sites on the web that reviewed escorts.   This is way back around 2002.   I found the idea enthralling.   She mentioned that one of the sites was called "Dog Eat Dog', or something like that.   (The doggy site, for those that remembered it.   I finally found it, and then it was just a hop, skip, and a jump till I found TER.    TER was the most impressive by far, so I stuck with it, but didn't join until 2005.

I think it was bigdoggie.net if memory serves.  (It is still around as a backpage-type site.)  It was the first review site I found.  A couple of great posters/reviewers on there, notably Distinguished Gentleman and Saint Bart who had a “Saint Bart’s scale” for GFE that TER uses as a partial basis for ratings requirements.  I used that for a while and then found TER through one of the search engines.  TER had much more in the way of reviews and ads and became my go-to like it did for so many others.

Way back in 2008, a coworker was talking about an Eros gal.  It was back when they were actually pretty good and not full of fakes and scammers.

Met a gal MikiTodo who was advertising herself as a FBSM.  Went and saw her and was hooked.  Her massage wasn't all that great, but having that young super cute and super hot Asian gal rubbing all over my back made me want to go back for more.  A few weeks later, I went back and saw her and the next thing I know, she is climbing on top of me after quickly wrapping me up and she went to town with an aggressive CG.  I didn't expect it but wow, was it hot and welcomed!

She then asked if I would write a review while we were just lying and recovering, and I'm like "where"?  She pointed me out to TER.

Too bad she "retired" within the year.

I had been using Bigdoggie.net for a while after the local alt-weekly magazines started losing this business. It wasn't so great, but my first long-term provider friend told me to look into TER when she finished graduate school and was getting ready to move away. I had been buying Barely Legal magazines occasionally but didn't pay much attention to the ads. TER generally bought the full back cover of each issue, and after she told me to look into TER, I used the information there and checked it out.

Then they went dark.  Lost a lot of $ in subscription fees, especially when you factor in bitcoin's amazing run-up.

I didn't know where to start alomst a decade ago. Saw a number on an ad and decided to Google it just to make sure it wasn't a prank.

The phone number was tied to a TER profile.

Created a profile and the rest is history.

Oh my gosh, i cant even remember. I do believe that I had a review here and never knew for some time. It was a while back and i had never heard of the site. I finally searched and found the initial review, linked a profile and the rest is history.

I certainly wish i had known far before i found out!

About 10 years ago a decorated athlete who was also  escorting got publicly outed.  News stories covered it and referenced ter and other related sites.  Opened up a whole different world to me.

Great question.

It was early in the year 2020 when I read an online ad that had a link to an agency website.
I went to that website and there was a line that said something like "see what our ladies' clients have written about them on TER". I didn't know what TER meant, so I clicked on it and that's all it took.

It has been a long time, but I started the hobby in the Midwest where another board was popular at the time.  I must have met someone who was linked somehow to TER and I have been a VIP Member ever since.  It's been a good ride!

starting to see providers when I clicked on a TER link on a provider's website and it took me to her profile and reviews.  I joined immediately as a VIP member so I could see and do everything this site has to offer.  That was October 2008.

when my first TER review was written n I can't for my life of me remember anything about this man. I haven't interacted on here ever until just recently.
