As I'm starting to build my clientele, I'm needing something to help me keep track of appointments/clients/etc. Any of you ladies have some iPhone app recommendations for this kind of thing?

if you're using a google email address it should integrate well with the iphone.. give you contacts and calendar using the builtin iphone apps.

I have 2 or three folder apps that accept web links, phone numbers, email addresses and pictures that you can lock have a password and a secondary password that takes you to a fake or secondary folder incase your SO want to see what you have in the folder. Pretty handy and I think they were all fairly cheap.

just hire an assistant..all you have to do is show up and have fun..she will handle all the rest..

And each has to determine if having someone behind the scenes is the way to go.  Frankly, I know of too many gals that tried the assistant route and it blew up bigger than the Hindenburg.

Not to mention...assistants don't work for free!

just a suggestion..you dont have to get all your clothespins in a bunch..

I would recommend not using that phone in this business due to the ease with which it can be tracked.

Any smart phone is a risk, mainly because of the aspects that can make it easier to identify in a crowd (wireless being the easiest since it's the most likely to be left running).   The other thing that can make it easy is photos posted straight off the phones (sometimes they have the gps coordinates in them).

But, with iphone and android you also have the ability to put a good passcode (don't do the patterns.. those are extremely easy to figure out), you can encrypt the device, and you can remote wipe it.

I prefer android to ios, but that's because I like running custom roms   Either is actually a good choice though.

recommend using any device like that. I don't keep a log of anything. When I used to tour, I just wrote down handles with date and time in my notepad, then as the days passed, they were gone. You can attach a calendar on your website where you can keep private notes on each day, and you're the only one who will see those notes. Calendarwiz.com is like 10 bucks a month, and that's what I have always used. You click on the day, and there they are, but only use HANDLES...never real names, numbers, etc.

You have number? You have a phone then you have IMEI and it can be tracked anywhere in the world. Think about this, how does the phone company know your prepay has expired.

If you are connected, you can be tracked.

Best thing to do is to browse the App Store, there literally hundreds of apps to organize, read reviews and download and test one’s with 4 stars or above. You can try out most of them for free. Even if you pay and didn’t like it, all you have to do is let Apple support know that, the app did not meet you expectation and your money will be refunded, no questions asked.

I am also testing one for business and I haven’t found one I like yet. Still testing a few. What I have found so far is, the one I like is complicated from feature function point of view, I mean, the app has more features than I will ever use and others don’t have enough. I am sure there is happy medium out there, just haven’t found it yet.

Provider gets two clients and expects to need a large database in the near future for tracking purposes.

iPhone got a very good Calendar app to keep track of business and personal appointments -- you can view your appointments through a list, by dates of the month ... set reminders for upcoming appointments ...

There are quite a few options depending on the focus of your search.  For example...if efficiency/ease of use is your focus...i might recommend one app.  If however, security is your focus, then I might recommend another.  Here are a few suggestions to illustrate the options:

***Calendar Options***

Fantastical ($3.99)
Benefit: efficiency/ease

Instead of having to fill in a bunch of fields like description, start date, end date, etc...you "talk" to this app and it interprets your language to record appointments.  For example:

"Schedule SecretMe on Friday at 8pm for an all expense paid trip to Utopia"  (ha ha, I jest)
Fantastical understands that language and adds an appointment to you calendar.  If you have the latest iOS software, you can even use Siri to dictate new appointments.  Of course, it also supports the 'normal' way of filling in all the fields if you want.  Fantastical integrates directly with the Calendar app on the iPhone so this app is more about easy data entry.  You can see appointments via either the Fantastical App or the regular iPhone calendar app.

Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any 'secure' calendar apps.  If I come across any...I'll update this post.  There are many other options that I've not personally explored simply because the included calendar app + Fantastical has always done what I needed (integrates my work cal, and many personal calendars allowing me to compartmentalize, etc).  

Edit:  just found myPrivate Calendar by SunScroll for $0.99.  Like the options below, requires a pass code to unlock contents.  

***Contact Options***

For this group of apps...there are quite a number of options.  Generally speaking, they have some or all of the following sorts of features:

- requires additional pass code or other device to unlock contents; this is the only password/code you need to remember to access the secure content
- 256k encryption of stored data
- supports secure storage of contacts, text notes, password, web links, pictures, videos, etc
- secure sync to the cloud (sometimes iCloud, sometimes a separate/service specific user account) so even if you lost your phone or it stopped functioning, you could recover all data via some other device
- folders to allow you to group the various secure objects into the relevant areas (web accounts, email accounts, people, etc)

Go explore the app store and try the lite versions of a few if you can and you should find one that works for you before too long.  There were at least 40-50 that came back from different searches I did.

I don't personally use this app so can't really comment further.  It does seem to support a wide range of options for the price

1Password ($7.99)
Benefit: added security

I have used this one primarily because they offer group licensing so I buy it for my entire family.  Many of the apps in this space are very similar so you can do well with any of them.  It organizes things into objects like passwords, secure notes, wallet items, etc.  

LastPass ($0 standard or $1/mnth premium)
Benefit: added security

I've used this one before as well and it has lots of overlap with 1Password.  The free version is limited and many of the 'nice to have' feature are unlocked once you re-up for there $1/month subscription.  Unfortunately, you have to go premium to integrate the iPhone app with a web account (https://lastpass.com/features_compare.php).  I haven't tried...but, if you plan to use it 'stand alone'...you might be able to get by with the iPhone only app for free.
