As a client...how do you feel about booking a girl you think is a new girl that is in your wheelhouse as far as looks, body type, session details, etc., only to find that she is a girl you already knew from another place?
Are you bummed? Happy?
I know this is a general, more vague question, but just wondering, since it has happened to me on a few occasions. Sometimes I was kinda bummed (meaning that the particular girl wasn't what I was in the mood for), and sometimes I'm jazzed.
But generally speaking, when booking a new girl, I wanna find a new girl. Not a rebrand.
when girls change agencies for one reason or another. It happens with independent providers too, but I have seen that happen to a lesser extent. Sometimes they don't want their identity to get carried from Place A to Place B for one reason or another. Now, it doesn't happen only because of shitty economy. It can happen for variety of reasons like security reasons, bad reviews with old identity, too much drama on TER, legal reasons just to name a few....
For e.g. Two big agencies in DC area (DMV and Classy) got busted earlier this year. Some of the girls retired completely, while a subset moved on. Now, a smaller subset of those that moved on changed their identity and work under new name.
If would be bummed too if I went in and realized that Tracy @ TheNewAgency is actually Stacy from DMV, but if I am already going in with the knowledge and I know beforehand that its OK.
Its a small world we live in, so its bound to happen sooner or later if you hobby a lot..
Many providers have 2 personas...a really high end one, and a market based one. Perhaps on the West Coast she charges a grand and in the dirty south less than 400...marketing 101, but not smart to double dip or your cover is blown ha ha.
with that double persona approach, because if the cover gets blown, it can certainly backfire and hurt the girl in long run.
I am OK with girls charging more in certain markets, especially when they are traveling providers to offset their traveling expenses. Most hobbyists would appreciate a more honest approach saying..HEY..In certain markets I am going to charge more, because its expensive. Having two persona just smells deception.
This may be a regional thing, and if you're not from NYC, then maybe you don't know this or have not seen this. I dunno. But I have seen this happening for the last, say, 18 months here.
We don't have private viewing agencies. We have FBSM agencies, and we have escort agencies here. There just simply are too many girls trying to get work and who used to be a lot more busy that just aren't getting the bookings, so they work for multiple agencies under different names.
It's not like every girl is doing this, but there are probably at least a dozen examples out there.
I certainly haven't seen this in the DC area. If someone has then a fellow DC monger can correct me, but the only instances I have seen it played out are the ones being outlined in my earlier response.
From what you describe, it seems the logical explanation would be to tap into client base for individual agency, while not appearing desperate for business. Also, there seems to be an underlying assumption that clients of one agency are reluctant to tryout another agency..
I guess only the girls can tell if its working for them or not...
A girl is not getting enough business, and is trying another agency that might be more busy. Or she just feels like when she is working one or two days a week, she needs to work five days a week, so she goes to agencies which will give her those other days.
