After reading the thread below, is it any wonder why no ladies have responded.

It's really a shame when there are some "gentlemen" can't even post a civil response without becoming nasty, calling others names, and being overall jerks.

You wonder why the ladies don't want to respond.

They obviously have much more class than many of the "gentlemen" on this board.

I observed all the banter, and decided not to respond.

Those of us without SOs hobby because of the rigamarole we have to go through to hook up with women.  Many women seem to want to meet men - I overhear women talking about it all the time.  There are a lot of men willing and available.  So how do we bridge the gap?  

A lot of us aren't "smooth" guys with clever lines.  Many women will say they don't want that, but those of us who go for the direct, honest approach get rebuffed too.

So, ladies, please clarify for us if you will.

I think the premise is correct. What women say and what they do is totally different. They all say they want a White Knight, but they really want an edgey asshole. Sure, I might be using the two extremes to illustrate my point, but what they tell you and what they really respond to are not the same thing. Why do so many girls stay with guys who whoop their asses?

Think, guys ... in your lives, when were girls most attracted to you? When you were indifferent towards them. Not necessarily rude, but just a "who gives a fuck" sttitude.

... pussy that you want... stay out of the bars and strip clubs... it's far less expensive when you can pick and choose someone from the internet catalog (albeit buyer beware)and just go home. Relationships take work and a lot more money. Now if you are seeking something more than a wam bam encounter, then TER is the last place I would seek advice.

You know me well enough to know I wasn't hijacking the thread below, as I was accused of, but was just trying to level the playing field.  The initial thread seemed more than a little generalizing, condescending and bitter to me (hence, the IMO!), and I could have actually written a full response to that myself, but I know firsthand about having threads to ladies hijacked, so I VERY SPECIFICALLY said that I awaited the ladies responses.

What happened after that only proved that (1) I was right in my initial impression, which was well illustrated by dragonfly, LAchineseguy, and DILF, (and sattv, although I sense a little instigation there, eh? and (2) you are right about the ladies on here, and that they know better to get in the middle of a bunch of little boys having a fight on a playground.

I will just like to say a lot of gentleman on this board do have some class.

Yes, I saw his quote, but people also should know that there a lot of classy gentleman on Ter.

I used to think that was possible here...back in, oh, about 2004.  

I actually try to keep my posts mostly civil, but I don't shy away from something that I feel needs to be said.  If that makes me enemies, so be it.  You can't please everyone all the time.

I know everybody is not going to get a long all the time; just as it happens in everdylife, its no different on Ter.

If you have seen my prior posts I have expressed my views on several topics and issues including this thread.

Although I have been on Ter for several months I have enjoyed my time here.

except that I would say wait until never.....


JOKES are cool, but trying to take shots at people because you're a miserable SOB, I wish didn't happen hardly ever.

I too read the thread below.  For what it is worth - I thought that the original question was worth asking.  It was specifically addressed to the ladies on this board.  Some of the ladies on this board have great insight, class, and knowledge.  What is truly sad is that some of the "Gents" do not realize just how lucky we are that they are willing to share their insights with us.  

For my part, I may not always agree with what they have to say - but I know that it is almost always offered with NO (read zero) alterior motive.  Why a bunch of guys (and by the TER polls - most are above 35 or so) who are suppose to be "mature" gents would act worse than my 13-yr old son and his mates do around a 15 yr old hottie is beyond me!  

Yea, if they all left and never posted again - it would not surprise me.
