I know maybe there's no good answer to this..

...but in a couple of hours I have an appt with a girl I found on Craigs List. This is a first for me, someone without reviews.  Of course it's the usual "go to this place and call me" but the place she has me going is a hotel parking lot.

Hotels make me a little nervous about LE scams.  Is this fear silly?

Anyone ave any ideas as to how to assuage my fears, even when I get in the room?

No amount of saving money is worth being locked up or catching something.

I HIGHLY recommend you avoid going on a date with a lady who has zero reviews....unless you know someone who can personally vouch for her legitimacy.  This is not only dangerous, but what if she has diseases or steals?  You have NO history to base a safe decision on.

I really recommend saving your money and direct your energies elsewhere.

........seeing any CL gal without a review. I've been lucky and have met many wonderful ladies off that site. I've good a gut radar for seeing thru' the Bullshitters.

...I explained to her why, and she was really cool about it, which made me want to see her more.  I wish there was a way.  Maybe if I wasn't married, which means a bust would ruin my life...

I never like to see a hobbyist have to turn down a date, but this is ultimately for your safety.

If you really like her, keep an eye on her progress and maybe introduce her to a few of the better sites to advertise on.

Craig's List is a frightening place for hobbyists. Unless you like the thrill of a risk-- don't do it!

Once you walk to the room (and yes I have heard of men being arrested on their way to the room), if they want to bust you, they're going to, whether it is a legal bust or not. They might not get a conviction, but what do they care, that's the prosecutor's issue. They will, however, have a good time just seeing you embarrassed.  I think your "spidey sense" served you well this time.

Should the cops jump out of the closet, you were just peddling Girl Scout cookies, so what's all the commotion about?

I bet they're so dumbfounded that you can just toss the cookies at them and run out.  They be too busy munching on them to chase after you.

In that sane vein, you could, if you were really mischievous, have a bogus pizza or Chinese takeout delivery made to the location.   See what happens what the poor unsuspecting deliveryperson knocks on the door.

I'd personally go with the Chinese takeout.  Chances are, the poor deliveryman will have minimal English skills, and the ensuing commotion [if there is one] and frustration on the part of LE will certainly tell you if this was a sting.

Who knows?  Might result in some really bad press, leading  LE in your area to discontinue, at least temporarily, that practice.

And you justly can enjoy your monkeywrenching cleverness for quite some time.

Can't say that the deliveryman will be all that thrilled, though.

dude, you are going from an $800 an hr girl...to CL????? I know varity is the spice of life but...a little discretion might saveyou a lot of grief later.

Ask if she'll do an outcall. Even if you aren't in a position to accommodate an outcall, ask her anyway. Offer a travel fee if necessary.

If it's a sting operation LE won't be interested in coming to your place. But if she agrees, or at least seems amicable to considering it, it can be a fairly decent indicator of being LE free.

Of course this offers zero indication of performance, which is an equal consideration when dipping your toes in the CL pond.

As always, trust your instincts. And if you are on the fence in any way, don't do it. It only takes one mistake to give you a lifetime of regret.

good advice .  craigslistgirls dot com  is a little different than the regular   CL  where girls just post  something and you call them and have to search for reviews etc.. but  i for one am on that site and have reviews on my profile . If I'm not mistaken there is a link to my TER and other reviews ..But   not a good idea to see someone with no reviews at all .. Same goes for ladies seeing men with no reviews ..
"gut radar"  is a great  attribute  to have..

This is one of my pet peaves.  While CL is known to be highly suspect, eros and the rest of the sites are equally so.  Lots of B&S scams and lots of unreviewed girls with the potential to be LE.

I realize that the nature of CL makes it much easier to post an ad, no one should take for granted that the other sites are safer.  IMHO its just plain safer to deal with reviewed ladies regardless of the site.  There are many ladies that actually post on both sites.

Sometimes I get the impression that posts like this are championed by providers that realize that rates on CL are usually less than on eros and the other sites...
