You can't prove it but you have a bad feeling and want to turn around.  Nothing has been said yet, no  incriminating discussion or behavior.

So you want to leave, but something nags at you: what if you're wrong?  Should you try to leave a partial donation anyway?  But how could you do that if you suspect a sting?

There will be plenty of time for appologies later, if required.

I had my two rookie visits where I was apprehensive-  the first was a well reviewed lady who by reviews had the same incall for some time- when I did the second call of the two call system, she didn't know the name of the complex and struggled with final directions which sent my antennas way up.  She explained when I asked her that it was a brand new incall.  I went in looking for ford ltd's and signs of trouble- but she put me at ease on arrival.  I was prepared to just turn around and walk away- would not have put any money out as evidence of what I was there for.

Second visit- some other negative signs were there.  After that- only well reviewed ladies and no problems.

Or you could have a couple of "Watchtower" pamphlets with you to hand out just in case.  LOL

In any case, if you're gonna give her money you might as well stay and take your chances because if she's LE you just bought a set of bracelets anyway.

If it's a sting, and you show up, you will be arrested.  It doesn't mean a darn if you don't say anything or exchange any money.  LE wants you on a sheet and wants to photograph and fingerprint you.  They'll let the prosecuting attorney worry about legal necessities.  When it comes to these type of misdemeanors they figure arrest is enough punishment, a conviction in court is just icing on the cake.

Bad vibes should be taken seriously.  I learned this when in high school and college, and walked away from several near misses...carrying large amts. of weed back in those days, and walked away unscathed every time...trusting my fiends and my own instincts.  Those experiences have served me well in my career, and in the hobby.  If the gut says run, then run! If it says cool. then, cool...

You have to use a little common sense.  First of all everything I have ever read or heard of about stings where the target is the hobbyist took place in a motel/hotel.  If the decoy is a female LE, she is not going to walk into a stranger’s motel/hotel room or a home alone. It is too dangerous and LE doesn’t like to take dangerous risks when they can be avoided. LE rents adjoining rooms where all the back up is in the next room. It is a situation where they are in complete control. The back up LE is only a few feet away when they get the signal that a violation has occurred.  So if you go a provider’s motel/room be extra careful.  I guess it’s possible for a sting set up to occur in an apartment of a single family residence but I have never heard of it.  It is so much easier, more efficient and more cost effective for LE to use a motel/hotel.  Someone mentioned they look for LTD’s.  I assume they meant Ford Crown Victoria’s a favorite LE car.  However I know the manager of an auto dealership in LA who loans used cars to LE for undercover operations.  They loan the cars for either one or two weeks, then exchange them for other used cars.  These are usually cars they are going to wholesale rather than sell on their used car lot.  They also use these loan cars for drug operations and are virtually impossible to detect as LE cars.  Just be careful and trust your gut instinct.  There was a post on the Legal Board a few years ago by a defense attorney who described how stings in Southern California work.  It was very interesting reading to say the least

Trust your gut...if it feels, smells, or looks funny..then turn around.  Sooooo many times people get into trouble, and then later say "I had a funny feeling, I should of listened to it and walked away"

I always listen to my gut instincts and thankfully so, and I am not just talking about situations having to do with the hobbying/providing world.

Great advice Sidney.  I'd rather go with that 'funny feeling' even when unsure than to be sorry later.  There have been a few times I've declinded an appt after meeting with them. I'll never know if something wasn't kosher but I'd rather not know than know and have it been bad.

Dive out the window if you have to. Just remember to wrap something around your hands if you're going to try a barehanded slide down the buildings's external wires.

A sting the TV news reported on last year specifically talked about 2 or 3 folks who were let go because the continually said they had showed up for a massage, even when amount was mentioned and agreed.

No reason to arrest if prosecutor refuses to press charges.  So maybe non-violent crimes should not be arrested until prosecutor presses charges.  Or maybe individual LE *AND* their chain of command should be docked in some manner for non-violent arrests which the prosecutor refuses to press charges or drops charges.

I'm new to this whole thing.  I've found a provider who I really want to meet and have exchanged emails with her.  I'm waiting for her to send me her screening form for me to fill out.  I'm actually nervous about doing this for the first time.  Her reviews on TER are amazing!!!  Considering how well reviewed she is - Should I feel okay about this and just dive right into it?  Her incall is at her home.  Should that make me more comfortable?

both completing her screening form as well as with her incall location.  The benefit of a forum such as this one is that there is marketplace protection in place.  The consistency of her reviews indicates her level of trustworthiness in addition to her level of performance.

Enjoy your experience, but beware.  This hobby can be addictive.  Be forewarned

...I've seen some pretty HOT lady cops.

I remember once when Mrs. Luethor blew-out a tire, couldn't figure out how to use the jack, and called me to come save her. When I showed up there was lady copy waiting with her that - I SWEAR - could have been a model. I wanted to peel her out of her flak-jacket and do her on the hood of her squad car right then and there...

I'll reveal the little I know in regards to the subject. I've always equated getting caught at this like getting caught drunk driving. The pros never get caught (or rarely. )

This is why I hate DUIs. You don't get in the car till you can do 3 things . Maintain equal balance on the steering wheel -- until you've checked all rear and front lights -- and you have the common sense to use a blinker, and not accelerate/decellerate or make any sudden motions (that's how the pros do it, we don't stumble into a car drunk)

The same can apply to this craft. I will tell a small story, when I was younger I was a lead web-developer for Mplayer (some may remember that company) this was during the dot.com boom -- wowo I'm a nerd.

Anyway, because it was piece work I would make 20-30 grand on occasion in one month (html is very easy, and back then no one could really pump it out as easy) . I would take crazy vegas trips, and do careless crap.

This one night, think I was 19ish. I booked the nicest suite in the Luxor (when it had first opened) I started calling escort services. (don't do this.)

I was being a total dick (shocker) and if the girl had one flaw I was sending her packing without her minimum fee. Me and my buddy were just doing this for yucks. We were drawing so much attention to the room (30 girls later) that an LE came up (I assume). She looked very normal, and we prodded her about extra services, all she said was prostitution is illegal in the state of Nevada ; well .. no other girl had turned it down, in fact was practically undressing at the pavlovic response and suggestion of this happening.

Not sure why she didn't bust us, but we didn't actually use any verbage that she could probably have prosecuted on, I used a lot of jargon and lingo .. that's my move. I got spooked after that and pulled some broad from the bar and fucked her in the bathroom, er yeah there you go, don't know why I added that, just good remincsing times.

I got a million of these stories. I'd be the life of the party if I could actually tell these without getting slapped with designer purses :(

No, they don't always use Ford LTDs or Mercury Marquis.  They have been known to use F150s, Jeep Cherokees and any other types.

It is also a misnomer that they operate out of adjoining rooms.

As someone previously suggested...if it is a sting and you show up....you are more than likely going to be arrested.

You can be arrested for anything at anytime.  The key is for the judicial system to make it stick.
