Have you ever started the day with a fabulous drive off the first tee, beautiful second shot just in front of the green, and then shanked your pitch?  How about an out of bounds right off the tee and knew the ramainder was going to be a disaster?  Which do you remember after 20 yrs.?  For me, it is the beautiful shots.  In the hobby, I read TER every day and find at least two kinds of players on both sides. I remember the wonderful shots, and forget the shanks.  Ladies seem to fall into the two categories.  I know this may be over simplifiation.  It works for me. So, I go for the beautiful shots. Missed putts do not distract from a below par round.  So, in the hobby I go for the best courses, and ladies who revel in the game, and who enjoy someone who can bring as much joy to them as they do for me.  So many players on this board go for the first two shots but neglect the birdie putt. How can you not take great joy in a 250-300 yard drive, straight and true?  A thing of beauty! Same for a lady who screams with delight, asks for more, and will praise you for your wonderful shots and want to play again soon?
