What matters most to you?

I have had lots of time to think lately. Things haven't been going well for me and a lot of important things have been painfully stripped from me lately. Please note the losses are hopefully temporary and with luck everything could be made right in time. But It has made me count my blessings.

What matters most to me is my family. My wife and my son. I simple joy of seeing my son get all exited over some rock he found is priceless. The magic touch of my wife after a long day is worth the stresses of the day to get to it. This is what matters most to me.

My friends are also worth a lot to me as well. To my friends who have been helping me cope with what all is going on in my life, thank you. I don't think I could have made it the last few months with out the help of my friends.

Health is also pretty important as well. You never realize how important it is tell it is gone. Very little matters when your heath is shot. When your heath is gone little else matters.

These three things are what matter most to me, and I have been a fool chasing things that matter far less with far to much of my time. I have wasted too much time chasing money. I have done so at times at the expense of what matters. I am not saying money isn't important it is. Just not as important as other things. At least money isn't as important to me as the things above.

Now how am I going to make this post hobby related? Simple by saying it is topic amnesty day. That and perhaps someone will say sex, or the hobby is what is most important to them, maybe? I doubt it, but maybe.

The other day I saw my daughter try to slam a huge spoon of ice cream into her mouth, she missed and it and a large piece hit her shirt and rolled down to the floor.
