This may be cruel, but I have no sympathy for  hobbyists who fall prey to such a transparent scam. They obviously would be moronic enough to wire a Nigerian "lawyer" 10 grand to claim an
"undiscovered million dollar inheritance".

I don't think the OP has/had any intention of actually sending any money. I think he was just looking for creative ways of saying GFY.

I rarely get upset about such ridiculous requests, usually they get the hint after about five minutes of listening to me laughing hysterically at them for asking something so stupid. lmao

It was a real civvy GF. Her and her best GF went to Atlanta for a week. Two days into the trip she calls me and claims she lost her pocketbook and asked me to wire her five hundred. I wired the funds.
When they got back her best friend told me my GF just wanted extra party money, and she didn't lose her pocketbook. I expressed my doubt at  her friends version. She showed me my GF's  pocketbook hidden in her trunk.
I did her friend to get my moneys worth for the deception.
Alls well that ends well.

That she MAY run into trouble while on a tour and be in need of financial help.

Two scenarios that come into mind are

1) She ended up being a victim of dangerous client who came in as in for appointment but with intent of robbery.

2) LE that scheduled an appointment and she ended up having all cash confiscated.

Short of these two possibilities I can't see why she would be in situation that would require emergency financial assistance.

usually though the pleas come in much more coy form. "I'm just having a hard time paying my bills; don't worry about it, i'll be ok". "My car seems to be acting up a lot lately; but i don't quite have the money to have it checked out right now". Those are just a sample of what i've experienced. I DO KNOW of a couple of guys who have fallen PREY to girls who ask for loans or have payed in advance. The one who OWES usually is willing to 'own-up' at THEIR convenience.

I have never given anything in advance except to those i have an immense history with. ONE in particular comes to mind.LOL  I'm STILL giving ALL I HAVE to that one. LMAO

If we are lucky we get to make amends, if not, we carry the burden forever.

b) If I did end up in situation where I had to ask for immediate emergency assistance I would contact female friends, not clients. Unless of course it is situation of non financial nature than i will contact male friend who may or may not be a client.

c) I do not have a  pimp

d) I may be a typical girl and have urge to go to girls room in packs, but when it comes to business I am rather capable of traveling on my own.

You're sitting at home minding your own buisness, and you get a text out of the clear blue.  It's from Provider A, which reads:

"Hey I'm stuck at the airport with no money to buy a plane ticket. Can you wire me 200.00, so I can purcahse a seat?"

OR

"Sweetie I have no money at all right now. Can you wire me 100.00 through my paypal or rush card?"

OR

"You think you can pay for my room for today? I have no money?"

I've been hobbying for a little while now, & every blue moon or so I'll get a BS Text from a provider who sends me a text like this. I'm not going to vent my fustration, but what do you guess do?

********These were all different text messages I got from three different providers during times

1st time from Provider A. "I stuck at an airport in California with no money to buy a plane ticket to come to BWI." Can you wire me money to my green card so I can buy a ticket?"

Note: "So how are you going pay for your hotel room, post ads, and eat while you're out here?"

2nd time from Provider B. "I just made it here to the BWI airport, I don't have money to purchase a room, can you leave work and come pick me up, and pay for my room?"

Then I get another text from Provder B. "I'm at the 7-11 now can you pick me up here?"
Note: WTH

3rd time Provider C. "I'm broke and have no money, can you pay for my room?"
Note: Provider C had at least 4 sessions from the day before, and made at least 480.00 I knew of from the day before.

4th time Provder C again: Can you wore me some money to my cousins rush card, we're boke and have no money here in washington dc?"
Note: I later found out through a source she was really in New Jersey the whole time.

Why would you ask a client to wire you money?

Not saying that I've never been asked for money, but I don't know any providers that travel with pimps.  I've never given the money but usually offer to let her earn it.  That wouldn't work in this case, so they can just skip the question.

those who love things and use people.

Hopefully, Magic, this experience helps you learn to decipher between the two.

I've lived both sides of the coin.

I was, in my 20's,  a "taker".  I actually made calls just like the provider in question , once or twice.  I took advantage of men who (thought) they loved me (yes, I was in this business back in the massage parlor days).  I milked a few vulnerable, honest, kind-hearted clients until the well was dry (not easy to admit), and burned bridges along the way.

The inner anguish that I went through as I  lived with mistakes such as this caused me to live hide behind masks, which I became proficient at, to my detriment.  You can fool others, but you can't fool yourself.  It's like cheating at solitaire...you can win, sure... but the pain remains.

Presently, after overcoming some personal battles (and still in the fight to be free of others), I can look back, learn and grow from past mistakes.  I wish I could go to these former clients and make amends to them, but I can only move forward and treat each person I meet with integrity and honesty.

I can now look in the mirror, and love the person who looks back.  Really.

Let us hope that gals like the one in question don't wait too long to turn over a new leaf and start living the Golden Rule.

PS...I am in MN, where we are experiencing blizzard-like conditions (up to 14" of snow)!  Snowed in alone all day, a great time to be reflective.

Just went through this and had to end a relationship with a 'former' provider. Even if I know the lady's name, social security number, home address, date and place of birth... NEVER again. The post by the provider below says it all.

Lesson: Give them an inch they'll take a mile. Give them a mile, they'll circle the world. Thus, don't give. They will prey on your good heart.

We have all done things we regret in the past. I have done more things I regret in the past than many and hurt those I love badly. All we can do is try to make things right when possible, and learn from our mistakes and not repeat them.  My guilt over past mistakes still haunts me to my very soul. I am glad you have grown to love the lady who you see in the mirror. Thanks for your post. Maybe some day I will learn to quit having to live by hiding behind masks and forgive myself.

Okay so Provider A put herself in a bad situation and asked the wrong person for help or provider A is just not so smart and doesn't budget well.

I myself have asked a close hobby friend for an advance.  I go to school and only come out to play every once in a while or on school breaks.  Sometimes things come up out of the blue that are not expected financially.  But I would never ask anybody I didn't know I could ask to borrow or advance the money from, and those who I could know I would send it back asap or get my tail over there to work it off. :)  Also, unless I was in a real desperate situation, I wouldn't ask..

Now this is just a personal opinion and in the past 2 years I have needed rescue help twice!  So, legit situations to occur I know 1st hand!

So Provider A could have really been stranded, but it is obvious that provider A is not close enough to you to ask for help.  Even if she was provider A should have asked you to book a flight not for the cash.  Again personal opinion.

Thank you for the comment.  I appreciate your input.

I just realized that I went and saw "A Christmas Carol" at the Guthrie Theater in Mpls. last night, and the essence of the story is reflected in my own...

Or did I just have a dream....?

I don't know, this is all a dream anyway, most likely.

No, I'm not on drugs.   I think being up here in this frozen tundra is having an effect on my head!!

I'm getting out of here for two months, off to the S. Pacific.  There's 4 ft. of snow at the end of my driveway, and the plowguy hasn't shown up yet!  Fuck, that means another day of house arrest...help!

Love to read your posts, by the way....(most of the time)   lol
