Publicity and news coverage about the hobby can only hurt the hobby.  The more the general public knows about the hobby the more they are going to demand LE do something about it.  This latest case of murder in Boston will no doubt trigger the public to demand the authorities do more about the growing problem of prostitution on the Internet.

A few years ago when escort malls like That Mall started very few people had any idea about escorts using the Internet to meet clients. LE was aware of the growing prostitution problem on the Internet but they gave it a blind eye since they had highly visible street walkers to keep them busy and the public was happy that LE was cleaning up the streets.  

It became so easy for anyone to advertise on websites like Craig's List, Backpage and others that the street walker began to disappear.  At the same time news articles about Internet prostitution began to appear on a regular basis. Women who claimed to be escorts went on talk shows and appeared on news documentaries telling the world how the system works.

With the noticeable absence of street walkers LE turned to the Internet and found fertile ground in websites like Craig's List.  Setting up stings and using Craig's List to advertise has made LE's job a lot easier and more productive.  It is only going to get worse as names like Craig's List become a household word and are associated with prostitution.  The least the general public knows about the hobby the better off we are. However, I am afraid the Genie is out of the bottle.

its not a subject anyone has brought up as of right now. And i prefer Not to discuss it with those who are clueless. Its a waste of energy and emotions. They don't get it and they don't want to.
Honestly read over the comments on the Boston Heralds pages, this hobby is misunderstood they are angry but not over the incident more over the fact that this young lady was making money the old fashioned way.
She is not seen as someones daughter sister lover friend or loved one, yet as a whore.
Its a sad world when a person for their personal preferences that really are not for anyone to judge, and noones business become who she is to all who see the end result. She is not seen as person or as a person anyone can care about. SAhe leaves behind a family and friends who saw her for who she is and not what she did.
I will not go into this subject with anyone who can not see her, or the other woman who were vitimized as people with rights feelings and lives the same as the ones willing to hold court against them.
