GG didn't make the cut; 30 = 30

Vodka is "something that the government defines as "neutral spirits, so distilled, or so treated after distillation with charcoal or other materials, as to be without distinctive character, aroma, taste or color.""  Hoo boy. That burns.

.
In a blind taste test, Grey Goose didn't make the cut and Smirnoff was the favorite.
.
And, at least in 2005, the article says that "most so-called vodka producers do not even distill their own spirits."  They buy 95+% alcohol (190+ Proof) and dilute it! That's the same mass produced commercial alcohol that ends up in your 10% ethanol gasoline and on your drug store shelf as a disinfectant for $4 / liter (with a sickening denaturant added so you can't drink it yourself or sell it for $100 / bottle to an unsuspecting connoisseur).
.
There was another article someplace that took place at some bars or clubs in NY that showed that the yuppie customers were responding to the bottle label and not the vodka itself. (They had filled all of the bottles with the same cheap, good vodka but customers were reacting with, "Oh, I don't like this (cheap) one. Give me that (expensive) one. .... Yeah! That's better!"
.
According to my calculations, 30 shots of 80 proof vodka is [---this-much---] alcohol.
30 shots of 80 proof vodka with some extra water and cranberry is still [---this-much---] alcohol.
You're going to be just as drunk - or dead - (blood alcohol content) either way!
.
If I just killed your buzz with those comments, just have another shot or two, but make it Smirnoff.

That's hardly a news flash coming from a borracho like you

I know it's unlikely that you ever paid attention, but most of the chicas down there chill both their Grey Goose and their Patron/Don Julio with ice and a splash of cranberry. How else do you think these little 100 lb girls can drink 30 shots of booze a day for months on end?

Anybody have a guess to when TER reviews will come back?

HappyChanges: Never

Proof me wrong. Discussion boards are still somewhat cool but I think the reviews are done. The location trick only worked somewhat.

TER is dead and lost its steam due to FOSTA/SESTA. Rest in peace Ter.

We are all living through the same thing and have our own opinions.  Thanks for yours.

We don't need no stinkin' reviews!!!     I have a little black phone book that lists almost all of the ladies I've seen over the past 9+ years. roughly 600.   I've been filling my time up with repeats and have had some fantastic reunions.  Reintroducing many young ladies to the joys of a fine wine, an older man, and seasoned wood.

We don't "need" them, but they sure made things easier.

life hands you lemons, you can either walk around with a sour puckered-up expression, or add a little "sugar" and you have lemonade.  Lol

GaGambler178 reads

and voila, lemondrops.

BTW would you HAVE to have reviews if you were to see one of the good Senators hotties posting an ad somewhere? I think my little head would most definitely seize control if I were ever to see this latest hotties advertized somewhere. lol

I want to live where he lives.  I agree, some of these ladies would most assuredly get me to the finish line earlier than I might like, but that's why the hooker gods coined the phrases "round 2", and "second cup."

GaGambler199 reads

I haven't had that problem, no matter how hot the woman in many many years now.

I guess guys get "too excited" for the first couple of thousand sex partners they have in life, but once you get past the first two thousand or so, hottness has nothing to do with how fast I get to the finish line, it does have an effect on how fast I want to get to the starting line however. lol

NEVER ruin good vodka by mixing it with ANYTHING!  If you're going to make a mixed drink with vodka, use Smirnoff.  You can't tell the difference after you mix it.  Good vodka must ONLY be drunk straight or on the rocks.  As most, it's OK to add an olive or a cocktail onion.  You've been warned.

GaGambler193 reads

and by "good vodka" I am only talking about Chopin, Kettle One, or Grey Goose, "good" vodka, not "great" vodka.

I am hardly talking about mixing an XO cognac with coke, lol

BTW, drunk to drunk, your point is well taken, but we aren't talking about Grey Goose Ducasse at a hundred bucks a bottle. It's not criminal to squeeze a bit of lemon juice into a regular Grey Goose that sells for maybe fifty bucks for a 1.75. You are thinking about the ticas who order bloody mary's made with Grey goose in CR. and while you are warning people, just remember I have seen you drink Patron chilled with a splash of cranberry mixed in, so I wouldn't be so quick to throw stones when living in such a vulnerable glass house.

Oops, one last clarification, I am NOT talking about the drink commonly known as a lemon drop which is made with Vodka, lemon and triple sec. Yes, that is a mixed drink and I wouldn't even waste good Smirnoff in making one. My version of a lemon drop is "decent" vodka, chilled with just a taste of freshly squeezed lemon juice, poured as a shot with sugar on the rim of the glass. Hardly a mixed drink.

I have NEVER drunk tequila and cranberry.  I HAVE drunk Smirnoff and cranberry. Get your facts straight.  Or are you too drunk now?
Sad,

GaGambler189 reads

Remember all those Patron shots you did at Chubbs?  Well every one of them made by Jessica had a splash of cranberry in  it.

Pinche borracho estupido jajaja

JakeFromStateFarm198 reads

and I think you're just talking out of your ass as usual.  One thing I AM sure of: you were paying for all that Patron, Wu! LOL!

You just water the booze down directly. That way your TJ stripper-istas can take shots all day long and stay only pleasantly buzzed.

And I agree, good vodka is bullshit. I keep a bottle of grey goose around because it looks nice, but if I'm drinking vodka, I'm going with Titos, which is made with good ol fashioned 'Merican Corn.

Also, all the good tequila isn't sold in the USA, and don't fool yourself into thinking Don Juilio or Patron are really all that good. The cartels own all of the 'craft' distilleries in mexico and prohibit it from leaving their local region, or at least mexico. If the distillery is selling to the USA, they have an "export" variant that might get a similar bottle or label, but has an inferior product inside.

and they are drinking the exact same shots their customers are. Or at least my friends that I drink with do. I am quite aware of "stripper shots" but when I am drinking with my bartender friends they are pouring the same booze out of the same bottles side by side and there isn't any faking about it. It's also one of the reasons most of these poor girls are burnt out and out the door by age 25 or so. No one can drink like these girls do for year after year without doing irreparable damage to their renal system.

and we were not talking about drinking tequila in the US, not to mention I only drink Patron or Don Julio when in a bar as that is usually the only choice for non rot gut tequila. I fully concede they are over priced and I personally drink Herradura tequila at home. It runs about $40 for a liter bottle at my neighborhood Specs and IMHO it's superior to either Patron or Don Julio.

As for vodka, I agree that most "good vodka" is just great marketing, but I take serious issue with people who claim ALL premium booze is bullshit. I don't mix my tequila, rum, whiskey or cognac, so I always spend the extra money to buy the "good stuff" That of course doesn't always mean the most expensive, but by and large you have to pay for quality. Cheap booze is either mixed or gulped. The good stuff is for "sippin" lol

In fact, it really hasn't changed much for me. Like you I have have several good friends who pass through town and a long list of "pre-cleared" friends I'd like to meet that'll keep me busy for quite a while. 😎

We were here before TER.  We will work through this.  Whenever government tries to suppress liberty we eventually figure out how to work around them.  Eventually an offshore platform will emerge is my guess.
