I had a tooth replaced and the temporary fake tooth was placed inside the invisalign (or knockoff, my overpaid dentist told me that mine was just as good as invisalign but cheaper).

Anyway, the dental implant takes for 3-4 months.  So I had to wear it for that long.  During that time I did hobby and kissed my wife and Providers with it (RT don't DATY - even on my wife).  Only my wife knew.  The Providers had no clue.

FYI, you can eat with eat but it is a pain in the ass.  It makes it really hard to chew properly.  It feels like food is slipping around in your mouth.  

So, after 2-3 days I just took it out while eating at home.  

To clean it properly soak it overnight in baking soda and hydrogen peroxide.  Then brush it with a toothbrush.  The plastic is incredibly strong.

More than you wanted to know I am sure.

You take them out when kissing or eating (anything).  They'll warn you at the orthodontist that you have to keep them in 22 hours a day, or they won't work as well, but I promise you, they'll still work.  The little brackets are not sharp and they're the color of your teeth.  You won't cut or slice anyone with them (lol) and unless you're cheesing at her the entire time, she will not notice.

Just don't bark when the provider enters the room and she'll never notice. You do know that you will be accidentally biting your tongue, and lets not talk about your new lisp :

I know people who get adult braces are a little paranoid.  

Daty/dato might be a littke more technically challenging.

But it 'll detract from your experience only if you make a big deal about it.
