You have to remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and that not everybody likes the same type of women. While "5" is harsh, it just means this guy did not like her, that's all. A "5" is not "for pigs". Also that one bad review is not enough to destroy one's reputation, especially if she has several other good reviews.
Hobbyists seldom decide one one review only. We check the reviewer also. Does he have many reviews? Does he usually give 8s and 9s or more like 5s and 6s. Then we read the content of the review. Why did he give her 5 ?
So I would advise you to get your friend to understand that their is no need to be devastated over one review. That's unfortunately part of the business. Just move on and better reviews will come to correct this one.

When I first started I got a 4 which means o.k. if you are drunk for apperance. I am sure you can guess I was shocked! It took me a whole week to get over it. The suggestion to get over it and develop a thicker skin, is good advice. I have all my life been told that I am pretty...imagine for someone to say that I was "brown paper bag ugly" meaning you needed to put a brown paper bag over my head because I was so ugly it hurt to look at me. I am certainly not Miss America or anything .....but I know that I turn heads and that I am attractive and proud of who I am. This opinion is a valid one for that person and I just needed to move on.
