General Discussion maybe?

I can see a provider asking for a deposit for the first time visitor, however these Gift Cards and Zelle transfer seem to be off base. Maybe it's just me being old school. Old School meaning cash is king

Next up is the ever popular habit of using someone else's photo, where a quick google photo search turns up the persons social media page. Seems to a trend amongst several pages which can lead to a scammer taking control with the hobbyist losing out on $$$  simple due to the smaller head thinking more than the bigger head.
Reviews of San Diego and the providers in which living the general area seem to be going the way of the Kgirls nothing wrong with that, just saying.
Risks are on both sides of the hobby, A few bad apples can truly spoil the hobby for those trying to get in and understand it fully, without it costing a arm and leg as a learning curve (being Scammed)
The discussion board in general and local like San Diego, will barely cover the fine art of this hobby in which one can truly learn, enjoy and grow. It would seem that there should be a forum, where as those providers that are truly veterans can post lessons to ease the pain and suffering when one becomes taken advantage of simple due to a fantasy which we all know can become very powerful at times.
I would like to hear and get a better understanding of all this and more, maybe it will help those that are coming into the hobby relax and learn more, maybe I'm way off base.
Whatever it be, be safe and enjoy out there..
Thanks for reading and Thanks to those that respond

Why not propose it on the Suggestion and Policy Board?

Lord knows we have plenty of moribund boards that it could replace.

If you do your due diligence it’s not hard to find the true old school veterans who have integrity. I’ve been on this board, since 2005. I contribute on all the boards. I’m not sure what your post means about San Diego. I was in SD for the majority of my life. There are professional women of leisure all around this world. Seek & you shall  find.

I personally offer egift card as a deposit option as I have found that can be a good for those who do not want a paper trail with apps like Zelle, cashapp, etc or just have a having a hard time navigating those apps. I agree that cash is king, but unfortunately like you mentioned, a few bad apples can ruin things for everyone and we all need to do what is best for us.

It is more important now than ever to do your research before booking a lady. Reputable providers would not risk their safety and reputation over a deposit. Things like a website, multiple reviews, and a longstanding active social media are some things to look for in a reputable provider. Sites that require providers to be verified before being able to use the site are places that I would recommend looking. I believe the FAQ for newbies section is supposed to serve as a sort of tutorial for those new to this and vets who might want a refresher.

The irony of this topic is almost overwhelming.

Providers and clients struggling to find a way to prove to each other that they are real while also struggling to prevent anyone else (like LE or SO's) from proving they are real.

The paradox is manifest, and depressing.

Google search the phone number you’re contacting. That should lead you to that girls reviews and website. If she doesn’t have a website nor reviews, don’t book it.

I don't have a website but i do have listings on several sites and am reviewed here and on another platform. I also have a Twitter account I am active on. I've 100% returned deposits for appointments I've had to cancel as well as held deposits in "escrow" if the situation warranted it.

I think a little research, critical thinking and risk assessment is ideal. Also, ask questions before you send anything!

" I believe the FAQ for newbies section is supposed to serve as a sort of tutorial for those new to this and vets who might want a refresher. "

for that might make sense but why not use the Newbie FAQ board? Sees like that might work well and providers (and mongers) could ultimately generate a summary post that fits into a pinned top level post on the board.

If she doesn't have a TER profile, at least 5-10 reviews (always be wary of less then five because they might be shills helping a scammer), AND an active link to a website on her profile, it's an automatic pass for me.  I have never been scammed.  In the case of Kgirls, as long as the agency is reputable, it doesn't matter if the girl is brand new and has no reviews.  The agency will stand behind the integrity of the girls they book for.  You will be screened, but there is no deposit required.
