I've looked at several links defining terms, but could not find "going around the world".... I heard this in a movie years ago and could never find anyone to explain it... any suggestions?

In ancient Greece, especially in Sparta, warriors were encouraged to take on same-sex lovers; I believe that the idea was that they'd fight harder with lovers around or something.  Further, all over Greece, men had boy-lovers, as boys were considered good for sex, and women were considered good for reproducing.  Of course, there were also courtesans in ancient Greece, as well.  Except for when Socrates was executed for "corrupting the youth of Athens" (which could be sexually or intellectually), it seems like the Greeks had a much better attitude about sex than we do now.  *kisses*  Anne
