Some of you lament the supposed heyday of TER and deem this board either dead or flawed in some way.  You cannot ignore a 45% increase in traffic.  That kind of paticipation is, IMHO, a direct result of the great board managment of these mods under the direction of admin.

The numbers (rounded for ease, but you can check them yourselves) :

10/06 - 2/09 (Before the change in Admin and Mods)  97,000 posts
02/09 - 07/11 (After the change in Admin and Mods)  141,000

That's a 44,000 post increase in participation that doesn't even include unapproved and moved posts.

And NO, you can't pass off 44,000 posts as board fighting or alias on alias crime.

GREAT JOB guys and it should be recognized.

the period 10/06-2/09 is 2 years and 4 months roughly. the period 02/09-07/11 is 2 years and 5 months roughly. so while some might question whether the periods are of equal duration, as reported, any discrepancy in reporting is much smaller than the size of the effect you report. so your conclusion stands. ;-)

of course nay sayers will retreat to a defensive posture and make arguments on the basis of quality of posts being superior in the "good old days". but that is subjective and mythical. the "good old days" always are. ;-)

Volume does not equal quality.

The board management is "great" only as far as TER management and the frat boys that make up the majority of the current posters are concerned. Those who don't want to talk about farts and "manginas" and how providers are nothing more than soulless commodities have already left you behind.

I don't recall mrfisher, MP67, inicky46, myself or most of the other top posters ever referring to providers as "soulless commodities". In fact we have shouted down many who have like Hirogen. There has only been three posts in the last month that mention farts and one is yours. But I will have to admit to being a "mangina" and see the word a lot so I will give you that one. I wasn't hear in the good old days but this board is fun how it is.

I certainly find it more entertaining nowadays then before IMO...  some funny ass people on here that give me a good laugh..

And geez... the ads the ladies are running on the Vegas board are hot, hot, hot! Something tells me your avg. time on site per visitor has also gone up. ;)
