May I coin the term Friend With Paid Benefits? Or does it already exist?

A lady friend came along to the lake for a fun day on the boat. Naturally friends (especially friend's wives) asked how we knew each other. And she said we've been long time friends with the occasional benefits. When I drove her home I told her friends with paid benefits was more accurate, she said I invented a new term. Just confirming if I'm a genius or just copying someone

but of the 3 definitions they give, that is not one.

I'm not sure the world needs it because isn't that pretty much the definition of a Sugar Daddy (SD) relationship?

SD relationships you pay for the whole relationship. I only pay for sessions, I won't ever pay just to hang out with someone. So it's different than SD.

"Friend with paid benefits" is "customer."  Most ladies in this biz consider their regulars to be friends.

I've remained friends with ladies whom I stopped seeing professionally. Still regularly hang out with one who I stopped having sex with 3yrs ago. So yes I agree, you can only become friends because of being a regular but you don't have to remain a regular....otherwise it wouldn't actually be a friendship. If I feel a relationship is strictly about the money then I don't care if she refers to me as a "friend". I'm gonna refer to her as a provider.

as I and probably others have used it (but I haven’t used “FWPB”!).

I’ve had two such relationships with providers.  And by “friend” I don’t mean I’m just a customer, or even just a regular customer. I mean we interact as friends do, do things friends do, help each other as friends do.  We know each other’s civvie identities, and maybe met SOs or other family members. But with benefits that are paid.  I think such relationships are fairly rare—certainly not the majority of provider/client relationships. Think about how many FWPBs each provider would have if they were FWPBs with majority of their clients—even just their regular clients.

FWPB.  Found her back in the BP age…actually a College Sophomore working for a service. Hit it off from the get go.  I sensed the service was not long for this world (I was Right) and she provided me her cell #.  I had 75 encounters over 3 years.  The last 2 years she confided I was her only client. I believed her as she was Pre Med student.  Things were great for 3 years.  Unfortunately she is attending Medical School in another state, and according to Social Media is married.  Last year, she posted on Social media when she was in my home town visiting. While I knew where she was staying, I resisted the temptation of “just happening to run into her”!  As much as it pains me, she has moved on, and I won’t interfere by re-appearing.
