One day I decided to park my butt in the Dunkin's, enjoy a latte & some wifi with the laptop without the domestics irritating me...
A most interesting man sat down by me, and we struck up a conversation.
He was a world-traveled hobbiest.
(Yeah, the conversation went there as soon as I told him I was a retired stripper.)
So we had a very candid conversation about sex workers, sex as an industry, and women in general as sex workers & sex regarding women.
I wondered if maybe his skills were sub-par, or if this could truly be close to the truth.
If it was, it is dismal at best for men...
As a woman, however who TRULY enjoys sex, it was cool to feel somewhat special & valuable as one who can and does enjoy sex for sex. I am curious to see what others opinions are on this percentage!
To be naughty, to be desired to the point that men will pay to be with you, to be the center of attention, to break the rules?
Every other woman's head.
Funny thing is, at 18 I started wanting to do it.
Now? Shit, I wish I started when I was 18 lol.

who wouldn't like the idea of being wanted, desired, and being attractive enough to the extent that a girl would pay to spend time with him?
Rarely happens for men in this society and point in time, but if the demand was there, many men would consider doing it too.
If most men had that option in college, we could have paid off our student loans, cars, and would've finished gradschool quicker, not to mention all the fat old tang we would have had. lol
I don't doubt that we would. I would certainly appreciate the thought of someone thinking that way about me.
The problem however is "If most men had that option in college, we could have paid off our student loans, cars, and would've finished gradschool quicker, not to mention all the fat old tang we would have had. lol "
When the system has been geared in such a way that my wife who has a college degree makes less at her job than I do at mine without one, and she works just as hard as I do, if not harder, even a joke as you are making is a sad state of affairs.
I would hazard a guess to say that if a young woman on her own could at least make an actual decent living wage without the need to rely on having a partner to do so, the better pay that this job provides may not be worth the downside(s) of doing something illegal, and because of that illegality, something that can potentially put her in serious danger.
but I bet that every woman has at least thought about it. Some were most likely intrigued, titillated, or downright desirous about the idea. While I imagine others were repulsed by it. Hey different strokes, right?
but don't you think ALL women have at least had the thought go through their mind, regardless of whether they liked the idea or not?
I will definitely agree that not all women have had the "desire" to be a hooker. I am sure many women are repulsed by the idea, but thankfully not all women
I'm just saying that any use of words like "all," "every," or "always" is usually misguided. But meh, semantics.

Dear Ms. Telford:
Although you do mention that you can't or shouldn't use qualifiers like the ones you mentioned above, what was the psychological and intellectual metamorphasis that transpired within you when you decided to become an adult companionship professional? Would you say that it is extremely an economic choice that would give more woman autonomy in a society that pays women only 77 cents to every dollar men make? Also do you see certain political dynamics that would tend to make women more resourceful in their vocational choices as they tend to hustle a little bit to satisfy the economic and social goals? How do you see it for woman who enter the hobby and what where factors that you entertained before embarking in the hobby itself?
I like money. I like sex. Put the two together and it's pretty sweet b

I didn't even READ yours before I posted mine.
Pretty damned simple!
Money and sex
I am pretty sure we are on the same page here, but what is really scary is that Fungus just same almost the very same thing. Whenever I find myself on the same side of an argument with our favorite little mushroom cap, it makes me question my judgment. lol
but yes "all" "every" "never". words like that will usually get you into trouble with rational people.
I agree with you that most women must have pondered the philosophical question...
and all the items you list do not make a woman a prostitute. Nor do they make a woman an escort.
I certainly would not want to be a prostitute.. Prostitutes sell sex for money... and most women don't want to do that. They don't want to degrade themselves or go to jail or be shunned by society.
as a woman and an escort: I am not excited by being naughty...no desire to break rules, or attract too much attention.
as for 'paying' to be with me? Paying for time and attention is often a matter of convenience for a man.. or an honest way to participate in a relationship by defining boundaries. not some power I possess over anyone.
But those reviews attached to your TER profile page need to be taken down.
Seems you do sell sex for money which indeed makes you a prostitute.

All these years she never even knew she was a hooker, err Prositute, and then you had to come around and burst that fantasy of hers that she was selling "time and companionship" rofl
I am a John, I own it, I revel in it. why do some hookers have to sugarcoat what they do for a living? Are some of you ladies really THAT ashamed about what you do?
I like hookers like Terrilyn of Atlanta, she absolutely loves being a SLUT, she has zero shame about it, and she doesn't lose a minute of sleep over what people might think about her. BTW there are a dozen other ladies I can think of who feel the same way, it's just that TL is my friend and it was her that I thought of first.
My clients are for the most part really cool individuals that I find interesting on many levels.
I hope they don't feel they are johns or tricks.... to think of a client that way , to me , is really disrespectful and how could I feel any pleasure from seeing someone I had no respect for.
but if your partners like tricks and you like whores... I am happy for you.
there is a difference, it isn't semantics
and I fill that time in any number of ways.
It is LEGAL to buy and sell TIME. It is ILLEGAL to buy or sell sex acts.
I would NEVER see a man who was attempting to commit a crime.
being an escort is legal.. being a prostitute is not.
and if you read the TER intro it says EVERYTHING on this site is suppose to be for entertainment so uh,, duh. *ha ha*
'You are a whore' response
I pay well to spend quality time with quality women, but I'm just such a sexy fucking stud, that these women I pay to spend quality time with are blowing me within the first 15 minutes of meeting me, and after a couple of hours or so, they leave. It's good to be me.
So the only thing you provide for a negotiated fee is time and companionship, and the sexual activity that you and a complete stranger who you may have had a five-minute conversation with is nothing more than a spontaneous, unanticipated, and quite unexpected consequence of this otherwise platonic get-together. And the fact that explicit sexual activity occurs every time you have one of these companionship meetings is purely coincidental, and has nothing to do with the enumeration stuffed in the unsealed envelope discretely set on the bathroom vanity, that is never discussed and never handed to you directly.
OK, now I get it.
All people are different, and all people make their choices for different reasons.

just handful you happen to know.
Whenever one uses the word ALL, it is suspect. There are variety of cultures in this world. In some cultures polygamy is allowed and practiced. In some cultures polyandry is practiced. In some cultures men and women having mistresses and secret lovers are practiced, well known but not talked about.
So your assertion is 100% wrong.
Try not use the word ALL when pontificating because it is always wrong and always will be wrong until the end of time.
ALL men on some level want to pay to get laid. Some but certainly not ALL.
I highly doubt that either sex wakes up at 14 and says that to themselves. For me it was I am not good in a traditional relationship, love sex, hate bad sex. And you never know what type of sex you are going to get the first time, so, to offset any disappointment, I thought I might like to get something out of it if an orgasm was not in the picture. What else is there.....I know cashola
A lot of women I do believe harbor that fantasy and it is only a fantasy for most could not handle this business and it IS a business. They would take it too personal.
Not all women are that sexual either and those would certainly not want to be a prostitute.
There are still a lot of women out there who just don't enjoy sex, who find it "beneath" them. How sad
I am here for 'many' reasons but not one was the 'desire' to be a 'prostitute'. I'm what most would call a HDH. I'm not sure what you're talking about LOL.
And yes, I'm kidding.
cuz I couldn't find the punch line. lol
guys are here. If we were in a good physical relationship at home, we most likely wouldn't be in the P4P arena; except for some variety now and then.
Give a woman good sex and see what happens.
BUT then there are those that use sex as a lure, act like they love it and when the catch of the day has been landed, well we all know what happens then right?
On a serious note, if the sex is bad and she feels like a warm masturbation tool, well what do you expect she will do sooner than later, yep, use whatever women have been using for eons, the old "I have a headache", menopause, other mysterious "health issues" in order to get out of having unsatisfying soul crushing bad sex.

So we had a very candid conversation about sex workers, sex as an industry, and women in general as sex workers & sex regarding women.
When he told me that his estimate was that "in his life, his observation, was that only 10% of women actually enjoyed the physical aspect of literally having sex."
My heart sank.
I wondered if maybe his skills were sub-par, or if this could truly be close to the truth.
If it was, it is dismal at best for men...

actually truly enjoy sex & have a slight hedonistic streak. LOL
You actually have to like sex to desire to be a sex worker...
Perhaps, I can see, if a woman has an adventurous spirit, loves breaking (or bending the rules), likes being the center of attention, wants or needs the money on top of the taboo factor... Especially if she plain flat out loves dick. (Yes, there are penis haters & penis lovers. I feel sorry for the penis-haters. I love love love a cock. Yup, I can admit it. Some cocks are better than others, but I have had more than a couple, and some of those cocks have been damn good to me! Whew!!!)
The feminist may hate me for saying this, but I think every woman has her fantasies...
Some perhaps dark (always with a good ending though!) some naughty, some taboo...
Prostitution is one of these taboo areas. None of us were born hookers.
That little niggling curiosity of course had to have hit at some point....
Do most women have fantasies? Of course. But women are a lot quicker to clam up about our secret innermost fantasies. It is the way we are trained by society.
(I read a serious research paper & book about the subject actually.)
But most won't admit to this fantasy,
nor "rape-fantasy",
nor an orgy fantasy...
or any other kinky daydream.
I guess it's just something that lives & barely breathes any life, in a deep dark place,
that most dare not even admit.
But I will. I will admit. I can not speak for all women though.
I know some have been through hell, sex wise, trust is shattered, or they are so religiously brainwashed that they can not fathom such a "horrid" fantasy (nightmare to them?) of course, there is back to the penis-haters... But I think the average woman, yeah, probably has fantasized about it... But desire it? Hmmm. I dunno.
Us women, are also known for reading our nice romance novels, too, though right?
Plot lines of fantasy: The rich billionaire who has blackmailed the heroine into sleeping with him yet he is spoiling her, the sexy pirate captain who has kidnapped the heroine, the aristocrat daughter who was taken to the harem to be the Sultans new sex toy... Kind of ringing the same bells here?
Just my opinions & observations.
