Apparently, he thinks I went too far in my screening attempt...

The following is in response to a newbie who claims he's never done this before, & assumed he couldn't (or persistently wouldn't) provide the required info for my minimal system of screening...

"baby, i'm not the fbi here... i'm willing to work with you in achieving a sense of security for myself w/out implanting a tracking device in your neck. and ever since the hospital court-ordered that my weapons be confiscated, i don't even fingerprint you guys anymore, b/c they took that equip too. besides, the ink was too messy... i do rent my in-call residence vs own it. so, if you could just submit a dna sample of your first-born, we can probably derive enough evidence from that, on a molecular level, to give me peace of mind, & it's really of no concern to me how you acquire it (we italians mind our own business). sound reasonable? i'm not one of these ladies that requires your ss # & a written sponsorship contract, geez. };) get back with me on a counter-offer if you're still interested, & no one will get hurt; you have my word, as a professional."  -kelsi stylez

Funny reply. :)

As good as it feels to vent sometimes, I find it's a lot less headache to just gently decline meeting until they are ready to provide the info I need. I'm happy when potential clients are discreet enough to be cautious about who they give their info to, but I'm not going to let it turn into a tug-of-war. Arguing someone into being screened never works. They usually don't comply, and besides, I don't think I'd feel safe meeting them if they were so resistant to being screened in the first place!

+, I wouldn't trust them to give accurate info at this point anyway.  I should have shared the rest of the story in that I only responded to him with that mssg b/c I could tell he was fun enough to understand my humor & was hoping for an even funnier reply to ease the awkward situation, which I got.  No, this one is big fun & it's looking like we're going to meet in 2 wks.  I too don't believe in burning bridges in this industry, or for the most part, anywhere.  I like your attitude Carrie.

Your resume and photos are AMAZING! You define HOT! You make me want to start saving my dollars for a trip to Arizona. (LOL, I'll be sure to bring my ID)

And pretty fascinating website as well, Coach Beautiful.  Come on out to AZ; I'll give you a warm welcome & the weather is beautiful with lots of sunshine, so we don't use our hoodies much here anyway & our hair looks fab in 12% humidity!  } ;-)

I'd ignore him, and block his number.

Actually, I left out his side of the story b/c I just wanted to share something simple, positive, & attention-span friendly... but he's actually quite nice, an alleged newbie, & retired from a high-profile, authority position, who is understandably cautious of divulging private details to strangers of a group with a bad stereo-typical image, boldly (which I am actively playing a small part in the attempt to change that).  He's actually a TER member, not that that's relevant to the precise topic.  But the ones who don't want to share what minimal info I require for the screen, don't hear from me again b/c persuasion is pointless & counter-productive to the cause, for the various obvious reasons.   I wish everyone had references vs me researching verification.  Regardless of what the haters think, I don't want to know anyone's dirt, which is usually the case with those refusing to volunteer their info, for you can find so much on some people just by Googling just their name & #/email address, etc.

Kelsi,
I would consider leaving out pretty much everything in the post Im quoting.  TMI.

Anyone with a negative (and humorous) reply to

A hobbyist that I saw who I screened with his basic info (address, phone number, etc) back when I was a newbie was recently blacklisted for not providing screening info to another provider. At the beginning of my getting to know him, I told him how he easily could have been caught with LE since he was on a high-alert area (Montgomery County MD) but a blessing in disguise for me.

It wasn't a surprise that this supposedly highly educated man thought you could get stomach cancer from anal sex.

Excuse us for not wanting to disclose our name and work info to just anyone with an Eros ad but not everyone out there is a hooker with a heart of gold.

I have felt bad a couple times after I got to know a provider while I was using one of my fake names.

One time a provider gave me a fancy coat of arms in a frame .
Another time a provider gave me a  history of my family tree.

I have no plans to  tell either one of them or any in the future my real name.

Better to be safe than have a problem with Miss vindictive .

He is a Newbie - cut him some slack. Not sure what you ask for, but as a newbie I assume he is already a bit nervous seeing a provider not knowing what to expect.

I have had guys who after visiting many ladies still refuse to give basic info, and that I see as unacceptable.

When guys refuse to provide info, I politely tell them my screening standards are set to protect myself and my friends. If he doesn't wish to submit whatever I need to feel safe and comfortable he is more than welcome to visit a lady who doesn't require it.

However, with my various methods of screening I rarely find a guy who is completely unwilling. Also, I point newbies to sites like TER to help them feel a little more secure in trusting me.

If a guy sent me the message you sent him, I would ignore him as his sarcasm was not only unnecessary, but a bit insensitive and mean. But then again - I am a soft touch.

Kisses,
Vanica

Dear Kelsi:
I am sure this answer will vary with respect to your colleagues in the business but the new underlying question is "What is the minimum a Smart Hoe needs to know before she says it is a go"? Although there are all kinds of screening techniques, there are still some basic minimums depending on how active the potential hobbyist is and where he would be in the continuum of activity.I am sure that you have certain guidelines that you follow to ensure that all potential patrons satisfy before seeing you.
Think about this, if you where to teach a course in screening, what are the five items you must have and what constitutes a successful background check of the potential client and what would be some redflags predicated on his history and activity. Once you have established that then stick to your principals and you will be respected and revered by all respectable "hoes in the know" for your truth, honest and duedilligence in research and safety.
